Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Controls and Automation Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Grand Prairie, TX. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting factory-based electrical control systems and automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLCs, HMI design, and industrial automation systems. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and troubleshoot electrical control systems and machinery., • Program and support PLC-based hardware/software (e.g., Allen-Bradley)., • Test and maintain electronic equipment used in manufacturing and power transmission., • Troubleshoot electrical issues on conveyor systems, motors, drives, and pumps., • Use CAD and engineering software for design and documentation., • Evaluate and improve existing systems for reliability and performance., • Develop and modify operator interfaces and automation platforms., • Ensure compliance with OSHA and NFPA-70E safety standards., • Supervise and guide maintenance technicians as needed., • Analyze production requirements and implement cost-effective solutions., • Perform technical calculations for electrical and robotic systems., • Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards., • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field., • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Electrical Controls/System Engineering., • Proficiency in ladder logic programming (Allen-Bradley: PLC5, SLC, ControlLogix 5000–5580)., • Experience with HMI design tools (FactoryTalk View, Ignition, Wonderware, LabVIEW)., • Familiarity with Ethernet/IP and basic networking., • Knowledge of plant power distribution and motor control systems., • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities., • Ability to work independently and in team environments., • Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
