Job DescriptionState Farm Agency, located in Portland, OR has an immediate opening for a full-time Sales Representative. Insurance experience is not required as we will train the right person. ABOUT OUR AGENCY: Our agency opened in July 2023 and has grown to a strong team of 8 talented professionals. Before opening my own office, I worked in the human services field and got my start in insurance by joining a friend who had just opened her agency. That experience inspired me to pursue the Aspirant Program and eventually build my own agency. Im a proud graduate of the University of Oregon, where I graduated top 10 in my class. My husband and I have lived in this area our entire lives and are deeply rooted in the community. Ive also been a foster parent to five children, and our home is currently shared with our two cats. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Develop insurance quotes, makes sales presentations, and close sales., • Establish client relationships and follow up with clients, as needed., • Develop ongoing networking relationships., • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly client support., • Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day., • Develop new service opportunities with both existing and new clients. Benefits: • Base Salary plus commission for every policy produced, 5-star review, & appointment set, • $250/mo medical/dental/vision insurance reimbursement, • SIMPLE IRA retirement match up to 3%, • 3 weeks of PTO every year with unlimited carryover, • Licensing cost reimbursement after 90 days of employment, • Valuable experience, • Property & Casualty license (must be able to obtain prior to start date)., • Life & Health license (must be able to obtain prior to start date)., • 1-2 Years of Sales Experience (preferred), • Demonstrated successful track record of meeting sales goals and quotas required., • Enthusiasm and belief about the role insurance and financial products play in peoples lives., • Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability and ethical behavior., • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and listening., • Must be awesome at opening doors and getting appointments from a cold start.
