Position Overview & Responsibilities: The Maintenance and Reliability Technician will be responsible for performing technical maintenance and repairs on swine facility equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical systems, mechanical systems, and general facility maintenance. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively within a team to ensure the smooth operation of swine production processes. The ideal candidate will also suggest process improvements using data supported decision making. Major Areas of Accountability: Technical Repairs and Maintenance: • Conduct diagnostic assessments and perform repairs on electrical and mechanical systems within swine facilities, including automated feeding systems, climate control systems, and waste management equipment., • Execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning of all equipment and machinery, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity., • Perform structural repairs and maintenance on facility buildings, including general carpentry, plumbing, and welding tasks., • Perform the maintenance and repair of farm vehicles, ensuring they are in safe working condition., • Work closely with production staff and other maintenance personnel to coordinate repair and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to swine production processes., • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements., • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience preferred, preferably within the agricultural or livestock industries. Experience will vary depending on level., • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical systems, mechanical systems, plumbing, and general facility maintenance preferred.
