Job DescriptionDescription: The HR Generalist – Employee Relations & Compliance plays a critical role in supporting the execution of Human Resources functions across multiple entities and states, with a primary focus on employee relations support, fact-finding, documentation, and compliance coordination. This role serves as the first point of contact for employee concerns and HR-related inquiries, conducts initial intake and fact-finding for employee relations matters, and prepares documentation to support consistent and compliant decision-making. The HR Generalist partners closely with HR leadership, who retains final decision-making authority on all employee relations matters. This position is ideal for an HR professional with foundational experience who is looking to grow their expertise in employee relations, investigations, and compliance within a structured and fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations Intake & Support • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and complaints, • Conduct intake and triage of employee relations issues across multiple locations and states, • Gather relevant information, including employee statements, manager input, and supporting documentation, • Maintain neutrality, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions, • Conduct initial fact-finding interviews with employees and managers, • Collect and organize relevant documentation, including time records, communications, and performance history, • Prepare clear, objective summaries and timelines of events, • Maintain organized investigation files and documentation, • Support HR leadership in ongoing investigations and follow-up actionsCorrective Action & Performance Documentation, • Draft corrective action documentation, including written warnings and performance-related communications, • Ensure documentation aligns with company policies, prior records, and consistency standard, • Track performance management actions and maintain accurate records, • Coordinate documentation review and approvals with HR leadershipLeave of Absence (LOA) Coordination, • Administer intake process for leave requests (FMLA, PFML, ADA, and company leaves), • Provide required forms and communicate next steps to employees, • Track leave timelines, required documentation, and status updates, • Coordinate with payroll and benefits as needed, • Escalate eligibility determinations and complex leave scenarios to HR leadershipCompliance & HR Administration, • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and files, • Support I-9 tracking, audits, and documentation compliance, • Assist with policy acknowledgments and training compliance tracking, • Run standard HR reports and support data tracking, • Ensure consistent documentation practices across all entitiesManager & Employee Support, • Provide guidance to managers on basic HR processes and documentation expectations, • Support managers in gathering information for employee relations matters, • Reinforce consistent application of company policies and procedures Recruiting & Onboarding Support (as needed), • Assist with job postings, interview coordination, and offer letter preparation, • Support onboarding processes within HRIS (Paylocity), • Ensure a smooth and compliant onboarding experience for new hires Requirements: Required: • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, HR administration, or a related role, • Basic understanding of HR practices and employment laws, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to remain neutral and objective in employee interactions Preferred:, • Experience supporting employee relations or investigations, • Familiarity with leave administration (FMLA, PFML, ADA), • Experience working within an HRIS (Paylocity preferred), • Experience supporting multi-location or multi-state environments
