Job Description Job Title: General Production Worker - WEEKLY PAY - $19/HOUR Job Description This role supports an insulation manufacturing operation across three primary areas: Build/Package, Cutting, and Weld table. General Production Workers ensure products are accurately assembled, cut to precise dimensions, properly documented, and prepared for shipment. You will work with production machinery, hand and power tools, and measuring devices in a fast-paced, clean, and organized environment while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Responsibilities • Read and interpret production orders to verify that the correct products and quantities are prepared for each shipment., • Assemble and package insulation products in the Build area, ensuring all items match order specifications., • Take photos and complete required documentation to confirm order accuracy and compliance with reporting procedures., • Operate cutting machines in the Cutting area to cut insulation materials to precise dimensions using tape measures and basic math skills., • Memorize product specifications and measurements to ensure consistent and accurate cutting of materials., • Set up, operate, and shut down welding machinery in the Weld area according to established procedures., • Change out fabric and materials on weld tables and ensure proper machine configuration for each job., • Follow quality standards throughout the production process, including inspection of materials and finished products., • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support assembly, packaging, and machine operations., • Assist with staging and pulling orders for building and shipment to keep production flowing smoothly., • Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area., • Adhere to all safety guidelines and practices while working with machines, tools, and materials., • Cross-train with material handlers to support overall production and logistics needs as required., • Support general labor tasks such as loading, packing, and moving materials, including heavy lifting when needed., • Follow established time management and organizational practices to meet production schedules in a fast-paced environment. Essential Skills • Previous experience in production, general labor, or general manufacturing environments., • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for dimensions and cutting tasks., • Basic mathematics skills for measuring, calculating dimensions, and verifying quantities., • Experience with machine operation, including setup and shutdown procedures., • Strong attention to detail for assembly, packaging, inspection, and documentation., • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively., • Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with production work., • Understanding of quality standards in a manufacturing or production setting., • Commitment to safety practices and following safety guidelines at all times., • Good organizational and time management skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with assembly, packaging, inspection, packing, and loading tasks., • Experience in machine operating within a manufacturing or production setting., • Familiarity with forklifts or material handling equipment (if applicable to prior roles)., • Ability to interpret blueprints or basic production documentation., • Experience staging and pulling orders in a warehouse or production environment., • Comfort working with hand and power tools on a regular basis., • Experience maintaining clean workspaces and performing housekeeping duties., • Willingness to cross-train with material handlers and support multiple areas of production., • Strong organizational habits to keep tools, materials, and documentation in order., • Reliable work ethic and ability to adapt to changing production needs. You will work around production machinery, hand and power tools, and materials used in insulation manufacturing, and you should be comfortable performing physical tasks and heavy lifting as part of your daily responsibilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
