About the role The IT Intern will work closely with the Information Technology team to provide day-to-day technical support to bank employees while gaining hands-on experience in a financial services environment. This role will support core help desk functions, assist with routine IT tasks, and help prepare and maintain various operational and technology-related reports. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in building foundational experience in information technology within a regulated industry. This position is located in Sioux Falls, SD, and is performed on-site. What you will do • Gain exposure to enterprise IT leadership by working with the CTO, IT Director, and Information Security Officer (ISO) to understand how technology strategy, operations, and security intersect., • Provide first-level technical support to employees by assisting with basic help desk requests related to hardware, software, user access, and peripherals., • Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues such as password resets, workstation setup, printer issues, and application access., • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including preparing equipment and ensuring appropriate system access., • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in the IT service management or ticketing system., • Prepare, update, and distribute routine IT and operational reports as requested., • Assist with data gathering, validation, and basic analysis for miscellaneous IT-related reporting., • Help maintain accurate asset inventories and technology documentation., • Follow all bank security policies, data privacy standards, and IT procedures., • Collaborate with IT team members on special projects and process improvements., • Other duties as assigned.
