LOCATION: St. Mary Elementary School St. Michael Elementary School RESPONSIBILITIES: • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences, • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that adhere to system curriculum maps, • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities, • Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities, • Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students’ varying needs, • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, • Use relevant technology to support instruction, • Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities, • Observe, monitor and evaluate student’s progress and performance, • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, assignments and enter grades online, • Provide appropriate and timely feedback on work, • Promote the mission of Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools, • Provide student supervision and discipline, • Perform certain pastoral duties including student support, counseling students with academic problems and providing student encouragement, • Uphold professionalism and confidentiality, • Participate in school events and fundraisers, • Participate in department, school meetings and parent meetings, • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs, • Attend parent-teacher conferences to meet with parents, • Assume responsibility and care of classrooms and school property, • Maintain accurate inventory of classroom materials and supplies, • Teach, team-teach or assist classroom teacher in planning and teaching of the computer curriculum which includes: keyboarding, paint/draw/graphics, word processing, information systems, Internet, electronic presentations, desktop publishing, database, spreadsheets, programming, a variety of skill-and-drill software, and coding., • Collaborate with and assist classroom teachers in planning and implementing SD technology standards and innovative uses of technology to enhance the curriculum, • Assist with setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of tech equipment in the building, • Update and maintain inventory of computers in the building, • Recommend software and hardware purchases with the Director of Information Technology’s approval, to administration, • Serve on the Technology Committee, • Train building staff on new and existing hardware, software, and innovative tools, • Assist with system projects as needed, • Train new staff and refresh existing staff in various online platforms (i.e. Infinite Campus, Impero and G Suite, etc.), • Perform various duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Institution, • State certification with K-12 technology authorization, • Exhibit the core values of Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools: Faith, Unity, Excellence, and Integrity, • Experience in technology and education preferred, • Working knowledge of software (application and operating systems), • Working knowledge of technologies such as Smartboards, Promethean boards, Chromebooks and iPads, • Excellent verbal and written communication, • Good problem solving and decision making skills, • Ability to work daytime hours, primarily Monday-Friday, • Clarity of vision, • Ability to speak English clearly, • Ability to hear and distinguish sounds, including speech, alarms and other work environment sounds, • Fine hand motor skills to include and not limited to keyboarding, writing, grasping, holding, and repetitive motion, • Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk through work day, • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally, • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds #hc210638
