Job Description Summary/Objective The Exhibition & Sales Specialist is responsible for generating revenue through advertising, exhibit booths, and sponsorship fulfillment on behalf of PayrollOrg (PAYO) and its affiliated companies. This role serves as a liaison between clients and key PAYO stakeholders while ensuring all aspects of the exhibition show floor are executed successfully. The Exhibition & Sales Specialist is responsible for managing exhibitor contracts, booth assignments, logistics, sponsorship deliverables, and on-site floor management to ensure a smooth and successful event experience for all participants. The Exhibition & Sales Specialist works in a customer-focused, calendar-driven environment. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Performs business-to-business sales, connecting PAYO’s products and services to client’s target audience; establishes and builds business relationships with new and existing advertisers and sponsors., • Conducts research to identify new business prospects., • Execute the exhibit hall floor plan, often in collaboration with a general services contractor., • Coordinates and executes expo layout design, oversees fulfillment, logistics, and exhibit booth placement., • Manage contracts, booth assignments, and exhibitors communications., • Serves as the first Point of Contact for expo floor troubleshooting; oversees set up, labor, all live day activities, and tear down., • Provides detailed revenue reporting and supporting documents for budgetary purposes., • Maintains and updates records in accordance with department guidelines., • Knowledge of trade show/exhibition industry., • Proficient in the use of event and exhibitor management software; EXPOCAD experience a plus., • Intermediate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Access; basic proficiency in MS Word., • Strong sales, negotiation, and marketing skills., • Demonstrated relationship management and networking skills., • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines., • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload., • Ability to write targeted marketing content., • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing or related field; degree may be replaced with a combination of education and/or experience in a similar role., • Internal: Key stakeholders of the company with regular interaction with Accounting, Communications, Education, Marketing, Technology, Publications, and Public Relations department team members. Requires prolonged sitting, walking, and standing depending on the job tasks with bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, crouching, and stretching, and lifting to 20 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other technology equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Prolonged exposure to computer monitors. Office work is performed in a normal office environment.
