Job Description Position Summary This position provides strategic leadership for sourcing and supplier development functions, ensuring a resilient, cost-effective, and high-performing supply network. The Sourcing Manager defines and executes spend and category strategies aligned with Steffes’ corporate growth and margin objectives, while driving cost improvement, risk mitigation, and process standardization across all sites. This role leads supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management, establishes KPI governance to monitor sourcing health, and partners cross-functionally to align supply strategies with operational and customer requirements. The Sourcing Manager develops high-performing sourcing and supplier development teams and scalable sourcing practices that support long-term business continuity, operational excellence, and financial performance. Define and execute corporate sourcing and supplier strategies aligned with Steffes’ corporate growth, margin, and operational objectives, 2. Set the strategic direction for spend management, category strategy, and supplier alignment to ensure supply continuity, competitiveness, and long-term value creation., 3. Own the corporate spend plan, including spend analysis, cost modeling, and cost improvement initiatives to drive productivity and working capital performance., 4. Direct contract negotiations and supplier agreements to secure optimal pricing, terms, service levels, and risk protections., 6. Maintains market awareness of supply and demand dynamics, commodity price trends, geopolitical and macroeconomic factors, logistics market conditions, industry trends and technology shifts, regulatory and compliance changes, industry benchmarking, and other factors impacting availability, quality, pricing, and risk., 7. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the supply network, including financial, geopolitical, capacity, quality, and continuity risks., 8. Standardize, train, and continuously improve sourcing processes, governance, and best practices across all sites to drive consistency and scale., 9. Establish and monitor sourcing KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards to measure supplier performance, cost savings, compliance, and overall sourcing health., 10. Lead cross-functional collaboration with operations, engineering, quality, finance, and logistics to align sourcing strategies with business requirements and customer commitments., 11. Build, develop, and retain high-performing sourcing teams, fostering continuous improvement and innovation while modeling strong leadership, accountability, and ethical business practices., 12. Acts as subject matter expert in ERP/SRM implementation and execution for sourcing and supplier management processes and practices., 13. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating collaboratively with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management., 14. Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives., 15. Other duties may be assigned. Decision-Making Authority The Sourcing Manager has authority to set and execute enterprise sourcing and spend management strategies aligned with approved business objectives. The role independently approves supplier selection decisions, sourcing methodologies, category strategies, contract terms within delegated thresholds, and sourcing performance targets. The Sourcing Manager has authority to make supplier award, negotiation, and cost management decisions within the scope of approved operating budgets and policy guidelines, including supplier consolidation, onboarding, and performance remediation actions. Contractual commitments and financial agreements within delegated authority may be executed independently, with larger or higher-risk agreements recommended for Director of Supply Chain or executive approval, while ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and supply continuity. Measures of Success Success in this role is defined by delivering a resilient, cost-effective, and high-performing supply network through measurable cost savings, spend visibility, and disciplined sourcing execution. Success is demonstrated by effective supplier selection and performance management, risk mitigation across the supply base, strong contract governance, and KPI-driven process health across all sites. Success also includes building scalable sourcing processes, strengthening supplier partnerships, enabling operational continuity, and developing high-performing teams that support enterprise growth, margin improvement, and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements/Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred., • 7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within an industrial or manufacturing environment., • Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, spend analysis, and cost improvement initiatives., • Proven experience leading supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management with measurable results in cost savings and risk mitigation., • Experience establishing and monitoring KPIs, dashboards, and governance processes to drive sourcing discipline and continuous improvement., • Financial acumen with experience managing spend plans, budgeting, and total landed cost analysis., • Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing sourcing teams within a complex, cross-functional organization., • Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills with the ability to partner effectively across operations, engineering, quality, finance, and executive leadership., • Ability to travel up to 25%, or as required Functional & Cognitive Requirements of Position • This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree, • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 20 pounds, • Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs., • Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending, • Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities, • This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions, • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
