What Were Looking For: Were looking for a visionary Chief Delivery Officer who can architect and lead our next-generation delivery engine following a strategic restructuring. This is not a traditional operations roleits a transformation mandate. The right leader is a strategic builder and change agent who can transition our delivery teams (Search, Social, Analytics, and beyond) into a high-performance HI+AI framework, where human expertise is amplified by artificial intelligence to drive outsized client impact with radical efficiency. You bring the ability to design scalable delivery systems, elevate performance across teams, and implement the processes, structures, and operating rhythms needed to deliver consistently exceptional work at speed. Youre comfortable leading through ambiguity, inspiring confidence through change, and turning a period of evolution into a competitive advantage. Ultimately, were looking for someone who can modernize how we deliverbuilding a smarter, faster, AI-augmented model that raises the bar for both client outcomes and internal efficiency. Location: This role is based in our Louisville / Boulder, Colorado office, where we follow a hybrid schedule. Heres What Youll Do: Youll lead the build of our next-generation delivery engine, helping shape how we deliver work at every level. This isnt a traditional operations roleits a change-management mission. Youll guide our delivery teams (Search, Social, Analytics, and beyond) through a transformation into a high-performance HI+AI framework, where human expertise is amplified by artificial intelligence to unlock smarter workflows, faster execution, and outsized client impact. Along the way, youll design the systems, rhythms, and standards that make delivery scalable, efficient, and consistently exceptionalwhile building a culture that embraces innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. I. Change Agent Enforcer 1. Evolution to a Modern HI+AI Agency • The Mission: Lead the agency through its most significant transformation yet. You will pivot our delivery model from a labor-intensive hours-for-hire shop to an HI+AI (Human Intelligence + Artificial Intelligence) powerhouse., • Change Management: Own both the narrative and the execution of the HI+AI roadmap following our recent restructure. You must stabilize the team with (a) clear HI processes while (b) simultaneously pushing them toward a new, tech-augmented, AI-agentbased reality. 2. HI+AI Framework Execution • Human Intelligence (HI) Design: Partner with the Chief AI and Strategy Officer to define the gold standard for how humans do the work (workflows, steps, and strategic decision points)., • AI Augmentation: Provide input into the AI Agent Layer built on top of those HI workflows. 3. Financial, Resource & Profitability Engineering • The Map: Translate client contracts into Allowable Hours per month or engagement, based on target profit margins., • Capacity Management: Map internal talent to projects with precision., • Utilization & Margin: Own the Rinse > Repeat cycle of monitoring hours versus estimates. You are the final gatekeeper, ensuring we deliver what was promised without eroding our bottom line. 4. Delivering on Client Targets • Accountability: Ensure Search, Social, Programmatic, Audience, Reporting, Tech, and other teams hit their KPIs on time and on budget., • Partner with the Chief People Officer to ensure Team Engagement and Client Delight are simultaneously achieved within Delivery. 5. Ongoing Team Management & Org Structure • Role Clarity: Help define Right People, Right Seats post-restructure. Ensure every team member knows exactly what they own., • Performance Culture: Lead a Coach Up or Coach Out philosophy. Conduct high-frequency touchpoints and rigorous reviews to ensure no one operates in the gray area of performance. 6. Recruiting & Role Clarity • Mindset vs. Skillset: Reimagine Delivery recruiting and interviewing to prioritize AI-first mindsets paired with a strong HI get-it-done attitude, passion for digital, curiosity, problem-solving skills, and deep in-tool expertise., • Strategic Partnering: Work with People Ops to build job descriptions that reflect the HI+AI reality, ensuring we hire for the futurenot our legacy. 7. Team Training & Professional Development • The Curriculum: Prioritize skills training (mastery of tools) followed by mindset training (embracing change, tackling challenges with energy, maintaining a proactive attitude, and embodying a where theres a will, theres a way mentality)., • Growth: Create clear career paths for a leaner, more efficient team. Heres What You Bring: • 1218+ years of experience in digital marketing, agency delivery, or professional services, including 812+ years in senior leadership roles (VP/SVP/Head of Delivery/Operations)., • Proven ability to architect and scale a high-performance delivery operating model across multi-channel digital teams (Search, Social, Analytics, Programmatic, Tech, etc.)., • Strong track record implementing AI-augmented workflows, automation, or modern delivery systems to increase speed, quality, and efficiency., • Deep operational rigor with the ability to build scalable processes, standards, and execution rhythms that drive consistent performance., • Strong financial ownership, including contract-to-capacity modeling, utilization management, and margin/profitability optimization., • Demonstrated ability to lead accountability-based performance cultures with clear role ownership, KPI discipline, and performance management., • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Strategy, AI leadership, and People Ops to align delivery execution with client outcomes and organizational priorities., • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent while building future-ready training and growth paths. The annual performance-based bonus program rewards both individual results (sales targets, new business) and company-wide success, with significant upside for exceptional performance.
