Our Challenge: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Rule Engine and API development to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust, secure, and highly scalable applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. You will collaborate across teams to implement innovative solutions, optimize system performance, and ensure high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Nashville, TN is $110K-130K /year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: • Design & Development:, • Architect, develop, and maintain complex backend systems utilizing Node.js, Java, and rule engines such as Drools. Develop scalable APIs to support frontend applications and external integrations., • Rule Engine Implementation:, • Design and optimize business rules using Drools or similar rule engines to facilitate dynamic decision-making processes., • API Management:, • Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs ensuring their security, performance, and scalability., • Database & Data Management:, • Design and optimize database schemas in SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, Aurora, and GraphDB. Write efficient queries and perform data migrations as needed., • Cloud & Deployment:, • Leverage AWS services, Docker containers, and serverless architectures to deploy, monitor, and manage applications, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance., • Collaboration & Code Quality:, • Work closely with front-end teams (React) to deliver seamless user experiences. Conduct peer code reviews, write automated tests, and ensure adherence to coding standards., • Performance Optimization:, • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure optimal user experience and system efficiency., • Security & Compliance:, • Implement security best practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies. Requirements: • Bachelor's or master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field., • 10+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a focus on backend systems., • Strong expertise in Node.js and Java., • Hands-on experience designing and implementing rule engines (e.g., Drools)., • Proven experience with API development (RESTful, GraphQL)., • Proficiency with SQL databases (Oracle, Aurora) and NoSQL databases (GraphDB)., • Familiarity with AWS cloud services (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS)., • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker., • Knowledge of Serverless architectures., • Solid understanding of front-end technologies, especially React.js., • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment., • Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Preferred, but not required: • Experience with microservices architecture., • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines., • Knowledge of security protocols and data protection standards., • Exposure to DevOps practices., • Contributions to open-source projects or professional certifications in cloud technologies.
