General Summary The Director of Clinical Services provides hands-on clinical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered private duty skilled and non-skilled care within a growth-focused, for-profit organization. This role oversees clinical operations, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and clinician performance while remaining actively involved in patient care through Start of Care assessments, supervisory visits, and ongoing clinical oversight to support safe, timely, and effective service delivery. Bringing an entrepreneurial mindset, the Director of Clinical Services collaborates closely with operations, recruitment, and organizational leadership to drive census growth, enhance clinical efficiency, and support sustainable business performance without compromising clinical excellence. Requirements: Key Responsibilities & Skills Clinical Leadership & HandsOn Care • Proven ability to provide hands-on clinical leadership in a private duty skilled and nonskilled setting, • Experience conducting Start of Care (SOC) visits, supervisory visits, and ongoing clinical assessments, • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to intervene, problem solve, and support complex patient cases, • Knowledge of state and federal home care regulations, payer requirements, and accreditation standards, • Experience with clinical documentation review, care plan development, and survey readiness, • Strong supervisory skills with experience mentoring, coaching, and evaluating clinical staff, • Ability to support field staff through direct observation, education, and real-time feedback, • Effective collaborator with recruitment and operations to support onboarding, retention, care coordination and clinical competency, • Entrepreneurial mindset with an understanding of operating in a for profit private duty agency, • Ability to balance clinical excellence with business performance, efficiency, and growth objectives, • Comfortable supporting census growth, service expansion, and operational scalability, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, families, clinicians, and leadership, • Ability to build trust and strong relationships across clinical and nonclinical teams, • Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills, • Ability to manage both field-based clinical responsibilities and administrative leadership duties, • Comfortably working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment requiring flexibility and adaptability Required Qualifications • Active RN license (FL), • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience, preferably in home care or private duty, • Prior supervisory or leadership experience, • Strong knowledge of home-care regulations and clinical best practices, • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills, • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) Work Environment, • Full-time position with occasional on-call responsibilities, • Combination of office-based work, field visits, and remote communication, • Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and strong decision-making
