Job Description Overview Now Hiring: Packaging Team Lead Schedule: Friday-Sunday 7:00pm to 7:00am Location: Jeffersonville, IN Compensation: $24.00- $26.00 +$2.00 shift differential. Based upon experience. Position Summary The Packaging Team Lead is responsible for leading their assigned shift to successfully meet production goals across the bulk, packet, and pad packaging areas. This role focuses on safety, quality, efficiency, and people development while ensuring production schedules and customer requirements are met. What you will be doing: • Lead and manage the packaging team to achieve daily production, quality, and efficiency goals., • Support, enforce, and model all safety procedures; deliver toolbox talks and maintain accurate safety reporting., • Enforce all company policies, including shift break policies, and report any violations to management., • Train new team members to meet quality standards and production expectations., • Coach and develop team members with respect and dignity to support growth within the company., • Monitor and audit production processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards., • Perform first-line maintenance and troubleshooting on Avatar equipment., • Enforce proper TPM and equipment maintenance practices., • Help define, communicate, post, and coach production metrics such as team and machine efficiencies., • Execute the daily production schedule and ensure all customer orders are completed on time., • Manage SAP component inventory, including daily component ordering (day shift responsibility)., • Oversee component and finished goods material movement to support production flow., • Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the production area., • Follow and enforce GMP, SQF, and food safety policies; report any deviations immediately., • Always uphold company core values., • Perform other duties as assigned. What you will need: Education & Experience • High School Diploma or GED required., • Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience., • Forklift experience required. Technical Skills • Basic computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel)., • SAP experience preferred. Communication Skills • Strong oral and written communication skills., • Ability to effectively lead, coach, and communicate expectations to team members. Physical Requirements • Ability to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection, hardhat, and safety glasses., • Continuous handling and placement of small packets (0.2–1.5 lbs) on a packaging line., • Intermittent lifting, carrying, and stacking of packages up to 57 lbs., • Ability to stack packages on pallets up to 86 inches high., • Frequent climbing of stairs or ladders for inspection, adjustments, and testing., • Ability to work across a large manufacturing environment (over 50,000 sq. ft. across multiple floors)., • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity for bending, stooping, lifting, and use of hand tools.
