Job Description Level 1 IT Support Technician (Part-Time, Onsite at Client Locations) Location: Los Angeles, CA (Various Client Sites) Job Type: Part-Time (24 hours/week), Non-Exempt Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (24 hours total) About the Role We are a Managed Services Provider (MSP) seeking a part-time Level 1 IT Support Technician to provide onsite support at client locations throughout the Los Angeles area. This role does not work from our office; all tasks are performed directly at client sites. The position is 24 hours per week, working onsite every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Based on performance, reliability, and business needs, the position may be considered for transition to full-time. This role is hands-on and field-based, supporting client users, coordinating hardware deployments, troubleshooting equipment, preparing devices, and working closely with remote technicians and vendors. Mileage reimbursement is provided. Key Responsibilities Onsite Client IT Support • Travel to various client locations to provide in-person IT support, • Maintain, organize, and inventory client IT hardware, • Deploy, replace, relocate, and document laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals, • Track hardware assignments, service tags, and device status, • Prepare devices for remote configuration, • Audit devices in VSA/remote monitoring platforms, • Identify offline devices and verify usage, • Coordinate in-person exchanges for replacements, upgrades, or repairs, • Arrange shipping and receiving of devices when onsite access is not available, • Open and track warranty repair tickets with Dell, HP, Canon, etc., • Package and ship devices via FedEx when required, • Track repair status and keep users informed, • Wipe and reload devices using approved processes, • Ship and receive hardware via FedEx or equivalent, • Assist users with basic IT issues and escalation routing, • Reset passwords and assist with MFA setup, • Basic troubleshooting for login issues, device power issues, and display problems, • Connect monitors, docks, peripherals, webcams, and headsets, • Add or reconnect printers, • Resolve basic printing issues and simple driver reinstalls, • Set up laptops, monitors, docks, and accessories for new staff, • Image, wipe, reload, and prepare systems for use, • Assist with sign‐ins for Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, RingCentral, Adobe, etc., • Troubleshoot browser issues (cache, reset, login loops), • Guide users step-by-step through simple processes MSP Field Requirements (Important) This is a field-based role supporting multiple client sites. You must have: • Valid California Driver’s License, • Reliable personal transportation, • Ability to travel between client locations in the Los Angeles area, • Mileage reimbursement provided according to company policy Qualifications Required • Experience in IT support, help desk, customer service, or technical fieldwork, • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, desktops/laptops, printers, and peripherals, • Strong organizational skills, especially with hardware and labeling, • Professional communication with non‐technical users, • Ability to lift/move IT equipment (monitors, desktops, boxes), • Ability to work reliably on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, • Valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred • Experience with MSP environments, • Familiarity with RMM tools (e.g., Kaseya VSA), • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, • Shipping/logistics experience (FedEx, tracking, packaging) Work Environment • All work is performed at client locations (not in our office), • Travel required throughout the Los Angeles area, • Standard part-time schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, • Hands-on technical work with hardware, devices, and end users, • Potential for full-time transition based on performance Compensation & Benefits · $21.00 – $23.00 per hour • Mileage reimbursement for client-site travel Equal Opportunity Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
