Job Description Position: Extended Day Program Assistant Reports to: Director of Auxiliary Programs Supervises: N/A Additional Terms: Non-Exempt 12 month position Charles Wright Academy (CWA) is a co-educational, non-religious, independent school located in University Place, WA. Position Description: This is a part-time position (15 hours per week) that assists the Extended Day Program Lead in the operation of our extended day program for students in grades K through 8 with an expected schedule of Monday-Friday, 2:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. The schedule is subject to change as schedules and responsibilities are based on the needs of the program. Responsibilities: * Assist in the running indoor and outside activities * Support a welcoming, happy, and safe environment for all children * Under the Lead’s direction, practice thoughtful, respectful, and effective behavior management, which supports respectful attitudes and behavior and promotes responsibility and self-management * Seek direction and assistance from the Lead as necessary * Maintain clean and orderly program areas * Serve prepared snacks * Represent Charles Wright Academy in a positive manner with all constituencies Physical Requirements * Must be able to constantly position self to accommodate the needs of children of the age group. * Must be able to lift up to 30lbs Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent * Early Childhood training and/or experience in childcare, elementary education training or experience, and/or summer camp counselor experience Salary & Benefits This position has a salary range between $20 and $24 an hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Job Description In this position you will be apart of a team of designers and engineers in creating and delivering accurate FTTH network designs. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in CAD and GIS, and a proven track record in fiber network engineering. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on design responsibilities with management duties, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with company objectives. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the network design team, providing mentorship, training, and performance oversight. * Oversee the design and development of FTTH network layouts, including feeder, distribution, and drop fiber. * Utilize CAD and GIS tools to produce and review construction drawings, permit packages, and as-builts. * Establish and maintain design standards, workflows, and QA/QC processes. * Collaborate with field teams, survey crews, and permitting authorities to validate and approve designs. * Manage design schedules, deliverables, and resources to meet project deadlines. * Provide design clarifications and technical support to construction and operations teams. * Coordinate with executive leadership to align design outputs with company growth and deployment goals. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience. * 5+ years of experience in fiber optic network design, with 2+ years in a leadership/management role. * Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar). * Strong experience with GIS platforms (ESRI, QGIS, or similar). * Solid understanding of FTTH design principles and industry standards (RUS, BICSI, NEC). * Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Preferred Skills * Experience with DOT permitting and utility coordination. * Familiarity with fiber network planning software and databases. * In-depth understanding of fiber construction methods (aerial and underground).
