Job Description General Construction Laborer ITS | Roadway Lighting | Traffic Signals | Underground Utilities | Fiber Optic Infrastructure Company: InLine, LLC Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $16.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 8–10-hour shifts, with overtime as needed Travel: Required based on project location Build Infrastructure. Learn a Trade. Build a Career. InLine is seeking dependable, hardworking General Construction Laborers to join our growing field operations team. This is a hands-on construction position supporting the installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), roadway lighting, traffic signals, underground electrical and communications infrastructure, fiber optic systems, and other transportation-related improvements throughout the Southeast. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working outdoors, enjoy physical work, and want the opportunity to learn valuable construction, electrical, equipment, and infrastructure skills. Construction experience is helpful, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who have a strong work ethic, show up ready to work, and want to build a career. What You’ll Do As a General Construction Laborer, you will work alongside experienced foremen, equipment operators, electricians, and technicians performing a variety of field construction activities. Responsibilities may include: • Install underground HDPE duct, PVC conduit, pull boxes, handholes, and related infrastructure, • Assist with the installation and pulling of electrical conductors, communications cable, and fiber optic cable, • Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, and general site preparation, • Use hand and power tools including shovels, post-hole diggers, compactors, saws, and other construction equipment, • Work alongside directional drills, excavators, mini excavators, skid steers, forklifts, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment, • Load, unload, organize, and secure materials and equipment, • Assist with transporting tools, materials, and equipment between the shop and project sites, • Help establish and maintain safe work zones and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) in accordance with project and DOT requirements, • Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites, • Assist in securing equipment, materials, and work areas at the end of each shift, • Support emergency and storm restoration operations when needed, • Perform other construction-related duties as assigned by field supervision What We’re Looking For Successful candidates should: • Have a strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding construction work, • Be dependable and able to report to work consistently and on time, • Work effectively as part of a construction crew, • Follow instructions from foremen, supervisors, and equipment operators, • Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced and changing work environment, • Be willing to learn new skills and accept additional responsibilities as experience develops, • Be comfortable working around active roadways, construction equipment, and underground utilities Experience in construction, underground utilities, telecommunications, electrical work, fiber installation, roadway construction, or equipment operation is a plus but is not required. Requirements • Valid Driver’s License required before starting employment, • Class A CDL is preferred but not required, • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing, • Must be willing and able to travel based on project requirements, • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity, • Must be able to perform physical construction activities including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, digging, and prolonged standing, • Must be willing to work overtime, nights, or weekends when project schedules or emergency work require it Opportunities for Growth InLine believes strongly in developing employees from within.
