Job Description Job Description Our Field Service Technician (Equipment Automatic Lubrication and Air Conditioning Systems) is primarily responsible for installation, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of vehicle automatic lubrication systems and climate systems at customer locations and facilities. The typical types of vehicles and equipment are construction equipment and mining equipment (pit loaders, front shovels, dozers, off-highway trucks, excavators, articulated trucks) as well as Class 3-8 vehicles (school buses, commercial passenger buses, semi-tractors, emergency services vehicles, etc). Learn more about us at Duties and Responsibilities • SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENT, always perform work with safety as the #1 priority, • Complete a one-week off-site training course for and maintain Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Part 48 certification in order to be able to provide on-site service of surface and underground mining equipment, • Be an integral part of our team and family environment, • Positively, professionally, and effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, team members, and management, • Climate system installation, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair, • Automatic lubrication system installation troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair, • Quality control inspection after completion of repairs, • Perform commercial vehicle DOT inspections, general inspections, state school bus preparatory inspections, • Proactive and regular communication throughout jobs with the customer, General Manager, and Outside Sales, • Work with General Manager and Outside Sales to manage the schedule to ensure workflow to meet customer expectations, • Create detailed repair orders and estimates, • Identify, source, and manage parts for repair work, • Ensure all parts and labor billing are complete, accurate, and timely, • Process payments including charge account, credit card, cash, and check, • Assist with inventory management such as creating accurate purchase orders, receiving, inter-branch orders, cycle counts, etc, • Become proficient with the shop management software and PC skills (email, documents, internet navigations) as it relates the to the duties and responsibilities, • Drive a medium duty service truck (F350-F550 or similar) to and from customer locations, • Maintain a clean and organized service truck, • When field service work is not being performed, will be expected to perform and/or assist with in shop service work including inspection, diagnosis and repair heavy-duty vehicle suspension, brakes, and steering systems, DOT inspections, alignments, and preventive maintenance (oil and filter change) Qualifications • Previous experience as a heavy-duty truck technician, mechanic or other related fields, especially with vehicle air conditioning systems and automatic lubrication systems, • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, • Experienced and comfortable with diagnostic equipment and software, • Toolbox, hand tools, and cordless tools, • Ability to lift at least 50lbs, • Average PC skills for email, documents, and internet navigation, • Strong verbal and written communication, • Customer service oriented and a focus on the positive customer experience, • Ability to work independently, • Effective time management, • Deadline and detail-oriented, • Valid CDL (Commercial Drivers License) or willing and able to obtain (Paid for by us!), • ASE certifications or willing to obtain (bonus for each obtained), • Valid Driver’s License (Required), • United States work authorization (Required), • GED, High School Degree, or College Degree (NOT REQUIRED) Benefits • Health Insurance, • Dental Insurance, • Vision Insurance, • Employer Paid Basic Life Insurance, • Employee Health and Well-Being Assistance Program, • Drug Free Workplace, • 401k Retirement Plan with Company Match, • Paid Time Off, • Uniforms, • Employee Discount
