Commercial Masonry Project Manager Greater Houston, TX Area (Onsite + Local Project Travel) Pay Rate: $125,000–$140,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus ($50K–$75K Potential) $800/month vehicle allowance + relocation assistance available for qualified candidates Overview: A rapidly growing commercial masonry contractor in the Greater Houston market is hiring a high-level Project Manager to lead large-scale masonry construction projects across Texas. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible role with a stable, family-oriented company that has built a strong reputation delivering complex commercial and K-12 education projects. The company is in a major growth phase — expanding operations, increasing revenue year-over-year, and building toward future regional expansion. Leadership is looking for a proactive, organized, field-savvy Project Manager who can independently drive projects forward, build strong GC relationships, and keep multiple jobs operating efficiently and profitably. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced commercial construction environment, enjoys balancing both strategic oversight and day-to-day execution, and wants long-term growth potential into senior leadership. What You’ll Do: • Manage 5–12 commercial masonry projects simultaneously ranging from approximately $100K–$12M, • Oversee projects from turnover through closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, coordination, and execution, • Review blueprints, specifications, contracts, shop drawings, and scope documents for accuracy and constructability, • Coordinate directly with general contractors, field superintendents, vendors, and internal teams, • Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, pay applications, and retainage collections, • Perform second material take-offs after estimating handoff, • Monitor labor productivity, schedules, costs, and profitability across multiple active jobsites, • Conduct regular site visits throughout the Houston region and surrounding markets, • Lead project meetings and maintain strong client-facing communication, • Support quality control, safety compliance, scheduling coordination, and successful project closeouts, • Help drive operational efficiency while maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners Tools & Software: • Procore, • Microsoft Office Suite, • PlanGrid / Autodesk Construction Cloud, • Bluebeam (preferred), • MS Project (preferred), • Tradesman estimating software knowledge preferred but trainable Compensation & Perks: • Base salary: $125,000–$140,000, • Annual performance bonus potential: $50K–$75K, • $800/month vehicle allowance, • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates Schedule: • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, • Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, • Primarily onsite at office and project locations, • Local travel throughout the Greater Houston region and nearby markets Benefits: • Medical insurance with 100% employee premium paid by employer, • Dental and vision coverage included, • 401(k) with company match up to 4%, • Paid vacation and company holidays Why People Stay: • Family-oriented leadership team with long employee tenure, • Strong company culture focused on trust, accountability, and teamwork, • Relaxed, professional environment with a “get the job done” mentality, • Team lunches and strong camaraderie across the organization, • Significant long-term growth opportunity as the company expands into new Texas markets, • Potential future path into senior operations or executive leadership Requirements: Must-Have Qualifications: • Minimum 4+ years of commercial masonry project management experience, • Strong understanding of commercial masonry systems and materials including:, • Brick, Block / CMU, Stone / Cast Stone, Thin brick and thin stone systems, Reinforcing, anchors, ties, and related materials, • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment, • Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, contracts, and shop drawings, • Experience with: RFIs, Submittals, Change orders, Job costing, Project closeouts, Retainage collections, • Commercial GC background with relevant project experience also considered, • Experience with education, healthcare, municipal, industrial, or large commercial projects, • Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred but not required, • Knowledge of scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, and productivity tracking, • Experience with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or MS Project
