Experience the best of Chicago healthcare jobs while enjoying the city's vibrant culture, renowned dining, and scenic lakefront parks.\n \n\nOperating Room RN Job Details\n\n • Location: Chicago, IL 60612 (Illinois nursing jobs)\n, • Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center Operating Room\n, • Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract\n, • Start Date: November 25, 2025\n, • End Date: February 24, 2026\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n, • Shift: Evening, 5x8-hour shifts (2:30pm – 11:00pm)\n, • Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)\n, • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)\n, • Call Requirement: One 12-hour shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am)\n, • Floating: Mandatory float within facility and to other units within 50 miles\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2750–$2820\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience as an Operating Room RN\n, • Level 1 Trauma Center experience required\n, • Strong scrub and circulate skills in the OR\n, • Experience with Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery cases\n, • BLS certification (American Heart Association) required\n, • COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)\n, • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)\n, • Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting assignment\n, • Compliance documentation due one week prior to orientation\n, • Locals accepted (must live within 75 miles of facility)\n, • Preferred: Experience in Neurosurgery (crani and spine), Open Heart/Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, and Gynecology\n\n\nOperating Room RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide safe, effective patient care in the Operating Room, performing both scrub and circulate duties\n, • Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures: Ortho, Trauma, Vascular, Urology, General Surgery, and more\n, • Respond to trauma cases as a key member of the Level 1 Trauma Center team\n, • Float to other nursing units as needed to support hospital operations\n, • Participate in scheduled weekend and call rotations\n, • Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes\n We believe in empowering your career.
