Job DescriptionJob Title: Fulfillment Specialist Job Description The Fulfillment Specialist plays a key role in processing and shipping customer orders within a centralized pharmacy fulfillment center. This position focuses on accurately receiving, picking, packing, auditing, and shipping prescriptions while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment. The role requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and effective use of inventory management and RF scanning systems. Responsibilities • Receive incoming items and verify their accuracy before processing., • Scan inbound and outbound items using radio frequency (RF) scanners to ensure accurate tracking and inventory accountability., • Pick customer orders accurately from inventory according to prescription and order requirements., • Pack prescriptions and related items securely and correctly to prepare them for shipment., • Audit orders to confirm that contents, quantities, and labels match order and prescription details., • Enter and verify order information in the inventory management system to maintain accurate records., • Prepare orders for shipping and ensure they are correctly labeled and routed for timely delivery to customers., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, ensuring the fulfillment center remains free of debris and hazards., • Follow established quality standards and procedures to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance., • Handle materials, including pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, and carrying items as needed to support fulfillment operations.Essential Skills, • Ability and willingness to work a flexible shift schedule., • Ability and willingness to stand for at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation., • Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation., • Ability and willingness to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation., • Experience or comfort working with RF (radio frequency) scanners for tracking inventory., • High School Diploma or GED.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with order picking, packing, and material handling in a fulfillment or warehouse environment., • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic data entry., • Attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescriptions and customer orders., • Ability to follow standardized processes and quality procedures., • Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly work areas and manage multiple tasks.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a centralized pharmacy fulfillment center operating an AM shift schedule of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You will work on your feet for most of the shift and regularly handle materials, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds. The environment is fast-paced and process-driven, with extensive use of RF scanners and inventory management systems to track all inbound and outbound items. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and organization, requiring you to help keep work areas well maintained, orderly, and free of debris. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mechanicsville, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
