Job DescriptionJob Title: Fulfillment Specialist Job Description The Fulfillment Specialist supports a centralized pharmacy fulfillment center by accurately processing and shipping customer orders. This role focuses on receiving, scanning, picking, packing, auditing, and shipping prescriptions while maintaining high quality standards and a clean, safe work environment. Responsibilities • Receive incoming prescriptions and materials and ensure they are accurately logged into the inventory management system., • Scan all inbound and outbound items using radio frequency (RF) scanners to maintain accurate inventory tracking and accountability., • Pick prescription orders from inventory with precision, following established procedures and guidelines., • Pack prescription orders securely and accurately to ensure safe and correct delivery to customers., • Audit orders to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards before shipment., • Verify orders and confirm correct entry into the inventory management system to prevent errors and discrepancies., • Prepare and ship prescriptions to customers in a timely manner, following all relevant processes and protocols., • Operate and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area within the fulfillment center, keeping all areas free of debris and clutter., • Follow established quality standards and procedures set by management to ensure consistent and reliable service., • Handle materials and inventory, including moving, organizing, and staging items to support efficient order fulfillment., • Use RF scanning equipment and related tools correctly and consistently to support accurate order picking and inventory control.Essential Skills, • Ability and willingness to work a flexible shift schedule as required by the fulfillment center., • Ability and willingness to stand for at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation., • Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation., • Ability and willingness to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation., • Experience or comfort working with RF scanners for tracking inventory and orders., • Attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing, and auditing orders., • High School Diploma or GED.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in order picking, packing, and material handling in a fulfillment, warehouse, or similar environment., • Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanning technology., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures., • Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly work areas and manage multiple tasks., • Reliability and consistency in meeting quality and productivity expectations.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a centralized pharmacy fulfillment center that operates an AM shift schedule of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You work on your feet for most of the shift and regularly perform physical activities such as lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, grasping, and handling materials. The environment uses RF scanners, inventory management systems, and standard fulfillment equipment for picking, packing, and shipping prescriptions. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safety, with work areas kept orderly and free of debris. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mechanicsville, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
