Job Description Welder $22-$28/hr Job Description This role focuses on performing high-quality MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components used in a variety of electrical and structural assemblies. You will interpret blueprints, complete fit-up, tack, and final welds, and work with a range of welding tools and fixtures to support production in a modern manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum parts for electrical and structural sub-assemblies and final assemblies., • Read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings to determine material requirements, weld locations, and specifications., • Complete fit-up, tack welding, and final welding operations according to quality and safety standards., • Use clamps, bolts, jigs, vice grips, welding fixtures, arc welders, spot welders, and cutting torches to position and secure workpieces., • Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed., • Follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards throughout all welding tasks., • Collaborate with production and fabrication team members to meet daily and weekly output goals., • Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for tools, equipment, and welding fixtures., • Support additional fabrication or related tasks as needed to meet production requirements., • MIG and TIG welding experience on stainless steel and aluminum., • 2+ years of previous welding experience, or 3–5 years of experience, or an associate degree or welding certification in a related field., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings., • Experience performing fit-up, tack welding, and final welding operations on a variety of assemblies., • Proficiency using welding tools and equipment, including arc welders, spot welders, cutting torches, clamps, bolts, jigs, vice grips, and welding fixtures., • Understanding of welding processes such as Heli Arc, TIG, gas-shielded, and stick welding., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds., • AWS welding certification preferred but not required., • Welding certification for stainless steel, aluminum, and steel in flat (3G) position is a plus., • Valid certifications in Heli Arc, TIG, gas-shielded, and stick welding are advantageous., • Openness to candidates who are recent graduates from welding school with strong foundational skills., • Ability to work collaboratively within a fabrication and production team. Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility equipped with modern welding and fabrication tools, including MIG and TIG welders, arc and spot welders, cutting torches, clamps, jigs, vice grips, and specialized welding fixtures. The work is hands-on and performed on the shop floor, involving fabrication of electrical and structural assemblies. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday, generally from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (with reference to a first shift noted as 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), with occasional weekend work depending on production needs. The environment emphasizes safety practices, proper use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to established procedures while maintaining a steady production pace.
