Job Description UTAH PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION POSITION DESCRIPTION 2025 TITLE: EMPLOYEE RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE PURPOSE: UPEA was founded in 1959 and is Utah’s largest public employee labor organization. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Make personal contacts with public employees; answer questions and concerns; work with other staff members in the coordination of membership drives; enlist and recruit new members. Create and establish a worksite presence; assist other staff members in creating recruitment opportunities; maintain a calendar of district meetings; visit each work site, in each assigned district on a regular rotating basis; assist in developing a master calendar identifying work site visits. Receive grievances from members; advise members on roles and procedures to be followed with the grievance process; research and provide data for grievance situations. Represent members at meetings by serving as an employee advocate before supervisors, appointed and/or elected officials, and other involved parties in an informal, non-administrative grievance capacity; assist members in completing forms and reports which implement grievance procedures. Perform membership development and maintenance; assist districts with the organizational development of leadership and membership; plan, organize, and conduct workshops, conferences, and meetings. Assist in lobbying officials for annual compensation packages; attend meetings regarding state and/or local employee concerns; assist in negotiating annual salary and benefit packages. Assist and attend legislative sessions, legislative interim sessions, and legislative special sessions to represent and promote the interests of UPEA. Coordinate member activities; disseminate information regarding activities through presentations and brochures; conduct district business meetings; attend benefit fairs, flu shot clinics, and other events sponsored for public employees. Attends UPEA Board of Directors meetings, provides support and attends assigned internal committee meetings, some of which are held outside of regular work hours and may necessitate a work schedule adjustment. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required in communications, business, or a related field. The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead cross-functional technical initiatives that are essential to delivering scalable, high-impact product outcomes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities- • Responsible for growing Elevate Jet's managed aircraft fleet, • Interpret sales data, analytics, and market insights to translate into actionable strategies, • Collaborate with marketing and leadership to execute winning region-specific sales plans, • Develop a strategy to increase the total number of managed aircraft at Elevate Jet, focusing on perspective customers interested in chartering their aircraft, • Proactive approach to analyzing, diagnosing, and prescribing strategic business solutions to meet company sales goals, • Ability to connect with and coordinate between key customers and internal/external stakeholders to promote and expand business opportunities, • Research demographics within the United States, targeting areas for growth that align with the organization’s sales vision and growth strategy, • Track perspective customer interaction and proposals within organization’s CRM system, • Provide periodic sales forecasts and reports, • Hold regular sales and marketing meetings with the Executive and the marketing teams, • Negotiate mutually beneficial agreements with perspective clients, • Travel as needed for customer visits, trade shows and marketing events, • Attend meetings at headquarters as needed, • Efficiently collaborate with senior leadership during client onboarding process Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- • Extensive sales experience in general aviation, with an emphasis in aircraft management services, • Excellent communication skills, the ability to deliver professional presentations to perspective clients, • Strong analytical and project management skills, • Grow company culture, act as an ambassador of the Elevate Brand., • Proficient in operational systems utilized by Sales, • Strategic mindset, with the ability to make difficult decisions, • Demonstrated ability to take initiative / self-driven, • Attention to detail, highly organized, • High degree of confidentiality and discretion Education & Experience- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent relevant experience required., • Minimum of 10 years of experience in general aviation preferred, • Strong leadership skills, • Proven work experience in general aviation sales Schedule & Travel- • Standard business hours are expected in this role., • Ability to travel as required up to 30-40% Miscellaneous- • FLSA Status-, • Lifting requirements- Up to 20lbs About Elevate Aviation Group- Elevate Aviation Group’s wholly owned subsidiaries, Private Jet Services, Elevate Jet and Elevate MRO share a mission to provide aircraft owners and flyers unsurpassed service, safety, and counsel.
