Job DescriptionSalary: $52,000-$56,000 DOE ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER Full Time Salaried The ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER will support the Warehouse Manager in management of teams and events execution. Areas of support include, but are not limited to; attending pertinent operational meetings, fleet management, curation and management of daily task lists, ensuring complete and accurate equipment pulls, facilitating training and staff oversight, and communications within and between departments. They are responsible for and can delegate tasks pertaining to worksheets, timelines, equipment pulls, and vehicle care and maintenance. Additionally, they will retain responsibility for duties listed in the Warehouse Staff and Lead job descriptions. This position reports to the WAREHOUSE MANAGER (WHM). ADMINISTRATION • Foster impeccable communication with all department heads kitchen, sales, equipment, and managers to ensure best possible outcomes for all events at all times, • Attend and participate in All Leadership Team (ALT) meetings and identify, evaluate, and respond to meeting topics as they relate to areas for improvement, • Attend and participate in pertinent Operations meetings to identify, evaluate, and respond to meeting topics as they relate to areas for improvement, • Accurately code and submit receipts and invoices within 24 hours of purchase, • Proficiency and full utilization of CG core software such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Total Party Planner (TPP), Nowsta, Ramp, and other systems as required, • Ensure all Warehouse spaces are compliant with MN health department regulations, • Respond to all work-related communications in a timely and professional manner, • Assist with management of add-on events and updates, • Oversee and institute necessary protocols for an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment, • Schedule Warehouse Staff weekly via Nowsta, referencing workload, expos, and keeping labor KPIs in mind, • Monitor staffs clocked in hours in Nowsta for errors and discrepancies, submitting employee hours to payroll bi-weekly and submitting sick/safe as needed, • Manage hourly employees workload and scheduling in order to avoid overtime - watch, notify, and redirect, • Assist Warehouse Manager with execution of training and support of new warehouse employees, and ensure proper utilization of the CG Passport System, • Ensure staff are completing all equipment pulls thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner, • Assist with the coordination of the daily and weekly staff assignments and to-do lists, including polishing and folding needs, in tandem with the WH Leads - updating list as departmental needs change, • Oversee the execution and assignment of said to-do lists, pulls, and expos by hourly Warehouse Staff, • Guide staff by setting expectations, course correcting, identifying areas for improvement, and issuing warnings, as needed, • Oversee training and set expectations for all trainees in tandem and as directed by WH Manager, • Assist with the hiring process for all Warehouse Staff and oversee training in coordination with their directs, • Utilize details from Packet Meeting, TPP, and communication with all relevant departments key contacts, plan and execute the exceptional fulfillment of all equipment resource needs for each event at Chowgirls Catering, • Ensure all equipment pulls are complete, accurate, effective, timely, and are in line with our determined Chowgirls aesthetic vision and commitment to sustainability, • Have a full understanding of event worksheets as they pertain to equipment and timelines, • Oversee the expo and assistance of Event Managers in loading their coordinating vehicles safely and properly, • Expedite Chowgirls pick-ups and deliveries as needed, • Assist other staff assigned to Chowgirls pick-ups and deliveries as needed, including with loading, ensuring timely departures, • Ensuring accuracy and display of Daily Timeline on digital signage board, • Respond to event updates and add-ons within 4 hours, updating all team materials accordingly and delegating necessary changes, • Maintain accurate and up to date expo times in the Warehouse Google Calendar as directed, • Work in coordination with the Warehouse Manager, Event Producer, Event Design Team, and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) to ensure the overall proper vision for buffet/service design is implemented utilizing the guidance of aforementioned parties, • Order coffee & tea as needed, • Ensure leads are calculating and posting the weekly non-alcoholic beverage needs (e.g. coffee), • Prioritize cost, shipping, and sustainability while incorporating CG values in any equipment purchasing, • Oversee and/or delegate the maintenance, repair, or replacement of broken wares, • Keep detailed and current inventory of equipment and compostable wares as delegated by Warehouse Manager, • Alert Warehouse Manager and Event Producer of low inventory, breakage, or inaccurate counts, • Create, document and implement systems and processes as needed to ensure equipment remains functional, clean, intact, and returns to the Warehouse post-event, • Maintain stocking of the various Event Kits and their contents; implement changes as needed, • Manage layout and organization of the warehouse, pods, and storage unit to maximize efficiencies and maintain order, cleanliness, and safety, • Work with Facilities Manager to ensure grounds and facilities are presentable and in working order, including dock, grounds, and sidewalks, • Work with dish department to ensure dishes coming out of the dish pit are clean, functional, and properly returned, • Oversee Fleet Management in tandem with the WHM, completing duties such as, • Weekly vehicle assignments, • Assessing additional vehicle rental needs and ordering accordingly, • Maintain vehicle logs and regularly update vehicle database, • Working with the Warehouse Staff and Leads to ensure vehicles are clean and in working order, • Discuss and schedule regular maintenance and repairs for vehicle fleet as approved by the Director of Operations, ensuring scheduled down time considers our CG event schedule if possible, • Ensure Chowgirls vehicle fleet is clean and in working order, including scheduling of regular preventative maintenance and as-needed repairs as approved by Director of Operations, • Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of the Fleet Safety Program in partnership with the hospitality department, • Valid Drivers License, • DOT Certification, • Ability to lift 50 pounds, use ladders, and be on your feet for 8+ hours at a time, • Knowledge or experience in events and or service, • Ability to multi-task and complete necessities without additional direction, • Proactively communicate work and personal schedule through Slack, • Attend and actively participate in all required company meetings, • Respond to internal and external communications within 12 hours, • Present a professional positive attitude among coworkers, vendors, and clients, • Facilitate information flows throughout workplace, • Maintain employee privacy at all times, • Be aware of MN employment laws, • Keep all Chowgirls information confidential, including internal documents, policies, procedures, recipes, and customer/venue/vendor information, • Maintain general knowledge of Chowgirls handbook, history, values, and vision, • Participate in Chowgirls training programs, • Cultivate general knowledge of Chowgirls handbook, history, values, and vision, • Guide peers and Chowgirls forward by sharing identified strengths or skill areas of specialization, • Commit to professional development, building a broad portfolio of skills and increasing mastery of current skills, • Uphold Chowgirls commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
