Job Description We are staffing on behalf of a reputable Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm in Mesa seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support team members and leaders across regional offices in the Mountain and Pacific time zones. This role is hands-on and consultative, with a strong focus on employee relations, policy governance, and multi-state compliance. The HRBP will work closely with the Head of People to ensure HR practices remain consistent, scalable, and aligned with the firm’s People strategy. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor to leaders, a go-to resource for employees, and comfortable owning HR policies and the employee handbook in a growing, professional services environment. What You’ll Be Responsible For: HR Business Partner Support • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for leaders and employees in assigned regions, • Provide day-to-day HR guidance on performance management, employee development, coaching, and organizational effectiveness, • Partner with leaders to proactively identify people-related risks, trends, and opportunities, • Support workforce changes and growth initiatives alongside the Head of People Employee Relations & Compliance • Lead employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans, • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment practices, • Advise leaders on corrective action, documentation, and risk mitigation, • Escalate complex or high-risk matters to the Head of People as appropriate Policy & Employee Handbook Ownership • Own the review, maintenance, and ongoing updates of HR policies and the employee handbook, • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with strong attention to multi-state requirements, • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and external advisors as needed, • Communicate policy updates clearly to leaders and employees Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership • Partner closely with another HR Business Partner supporting Central and Eastern time zones to ensure consistency, • Collaborate with Recruiting, Payroll, Training, Compliance, and IT teams, • Support onboarding, offboarding, and internal mobility initiatives Change Management & Organizational Support • Support organizational changes such as growth initiatives, leadership transitions, and potential integrations, • Provide hands-on HR support during periods of change What We’re Looking For: Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, • SHRM-CP or HRCI certification required, • SHRM-California (SHRM-CA) certification strongly preferred, • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, • Strong experience in employee relations and multi-state compliance, • Solid working knowledge of employment law and HR policy development Key Skills & Attributes • Excellent judgment and discretion, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, • Comfortable handling sensitive employee situations with professionalism and empathy, • Ability to partner effectively with leaders at all levels, • Experience supporting a high-growth or professional services environment preferred Why This Role • Competitive salary range: $80,000–$90,000 DOE, • High-visibility HRBP role with real ownership and impact, • Close partnership with senior leadership, • Stable, reputable firm with continued growth EOE: Pinnacle provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.About Pinnacle\r\nThe Pinnacle Groups work hard to pair top talent with great companies.
