Job DescriptionThe Strong offers programs for individuals of all ages to learn about the power and importance of play in their lives. The G2 site coordinator is responsible for program coordination at a specific G2 location and general administrative tasks relating to the planning and execution of the program from September through June. This 10-month position coordinates child-centered school-based play programs that celebrate diversity, inclusion, and exploration at every age. There are no job duties expected for the months of July and August. This position requires a highly organized individual who is passionate about strengthening young children’s social and emotional development through child-directed play and empowering adults to understand and connect with children. The site coordinator may oversee between two and eight play sessions per week. Once scheduled, G2 sessions occur on the same day and at the same time each week, and each session will require approximately four hours of the coordinator’s time per week. All museum staff are expected to cooperate with one another in furthering the museum’s general objectives and in completing museum projects.
