Overview We are a growing employee benefits team focused on delivering thoughtful, data-driven solutions to employer clients. Our team partners closely with organizations to design competitive and sustainable benefit programs that balance cost, risk, and employee experience. As we continue to grow, we’re excited to add a Benefits Analyst who enjoys working with data, collaborating with a team, and contributing to strategic client solutions. The Benefits Analyst plays an important role in evaluating employer-sponsored health plans through claims analysis, financial modeling, and market strategy. This individual will help translate data into clear insights that support plan design decisions and risk management discussions. This position is well-suited for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment. How you'll make an impact • Pull and review monthly medical, dental, vision, and ancillary claims reports, • Track plan performance, utilization trends, and cost drivers, • Maintain renewal and experience reporting for assigned groups, • Identify patterns and summarize findings for internal and client discussions, • Develop renewal projections and contribution models, • Create financial comparisons to support budgeting and funding decisions, • Assist in evaluating plan performance year-over-year, • Support funding analyses (fully insured, level-funded, self-funded), • Participate in internal strategy meetings to review employer plan performance, • Provide data-driven input on plan design considerations, • Support long-term cost management discussions, • Prepare underwriting submissions and market groups to carrier partners, • Review carrier proposals for competitiveness and alignment, • Develop clear side-by-side comparisons, • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience), • 1–3+ years of experience in employee benefits, underwriting, or health insurance analytics preferred, • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and financial modeling required; advanced skills a plus), • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • Comfort working with data and financial models, • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, • Clear and professional communication skills, • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn, • Understanding of employer-sponsored health plans preferred Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
