Columbus is a vibrant city with diverse culture, excellent dining, and beautiful parks—making it an ideal location for travel nursing jobs.\n \n\nCVICU RN Job Details\n\n • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$1990\n, • Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n, • Start Date: January 5, 2026\n, • End Date: April 6, 2026\n, • Location: Columbus, OH 43210\n, • Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)\n, • Nursing Shifts: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)\n, • Weekend Coverage: Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:1–2\n, • Floating: Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity\n\n\nCVICU RN Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU or CVICU nursing experience strongly preferred\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio nursing license required at submission)\n, • Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program\n, • BLS and ACLS certifications required\n, • NIHSS certification preferred\n, • EPIC charting experience required\n, • Previous travel nurse experience preferred\n, • Ability to float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed\n, • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)\n, • Two professional references required (one must be from a manager/director or supervisor)\n\n\nCVICU RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill cardiac, vascular, and thoracic ICU patients\n, • Manage advanced cardiac devices and therapies, including ECMO, VADs, IABP, Impella, and CRRT\n, • Perform and monitor IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz catheterization, and conscious sedation\n, • Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips\n, • Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias\n, • Assist with post-cardiac surgery care, including CABG, valve repair, TAVR, and transplant patients\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services\n, • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records\n, • Adhere to infection prevention and isolation protocols\n We believe in empowering your career.
