SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE: The role of Exelixis' Business Development Search & Evaluation (BD S&E) team is to establish and manage a highly productive, agile global business opportunity identification network. Key objectives include building broad awareness of Exelixis' partnering goals, building a first-to-call reputation, and procuring access to novel, high-quality asset and technology partnering or acquisition opportunities for the company. BD S&E will leverage existing relationships and establish new networks with the biopharma industry, investment communities and with key medical research academics and innovators so that Exelixis is globally recognized as a preferred research, development and commercialization partner. As part of the Exelixis Business Development team, the BD S&E Director will be the first to review and qualify an opportunity, and to frame an initial business case that ensures scientific, clinical, commercial and corporate strategic fit, with particular focus on opportunities where Exelixis can substantially expand and maximize future value based on its R&D and commercial capabilities. The base pay range for this positionis $221,000 - $314,000 annually. Job Description Opportunity Overview The Program Director (PD) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at our medical center, including the clinical care provided by residents and faculty. The PD is tasked with formulating and executing strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing resident recruitment, training, and retention. This role ensures that residents receive an exceptional training experience while adhering to the standards set by ABIM, ACGME, and our organization. This is a full-time position, with 0.7 FTE allocated to administrative duties and 0.3 FTE dedicated to clinical responsibilities. Leadership Responsibilities * Develops, organizes, and leads program strategies, goals, and operations, ensuring compliance with ABIM, ACP, ACGME, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements. * Manages faculty, residents, and administrative personnel regarding recruitment, performance assessments, compensation, disciplinary actions, and professional development. * Assigns faculty to teaching positions within the residency program, monitors the quality of their educational contributions, and has the authority to remove them if they fail to meet program standards. * Oversees the resident recruitment process, including application evaluations, interviews, and the submission of the rank order list to the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). * Acts as a proactive leader and advocate for the program's interests in discussions with key stakeholders within our organization. * Manages all financial aspects of the program, including the operating budget, foundation and grant support, Medicare funding for graduate medical education, and the implementation of program policies related to travel and benefits in line with contractual and organizational requirements. * Exhibits leadership in internal medicine at local, regional, and national levels, enhancing the reputation of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. * Chairs and participates in relevant committees (e.g., GMEC, CCC, PEC, etc.).
