Job Description Position Summary The General Manager functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property, responsible for all aspects of operations including guest satisfaction, team performance, financial success, revenue generation, and return on investment. This role leads the property's Executive Committee, drives strategic planning, strengthens community and owner relationships, and ensures the delivery of exceptional service and operational excellence. Education & Experience Requirements Required Option 1: * 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field * 8 years of experience in operations, sales, marketing, finance, accounting, or related hospitality roles Option 2: * 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field * 6 years of experience in operations, sales, marketing, finance, accounting, or related hospitality roles Required * Prior General Manager experience in boutique or full-service hotels * Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays * Food and Beverage Experience * Valid Drivers License Job Responsibilities Business Strategy Development & Execution * Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape * Develop strategic and property-level business plans * Align departmental initiatives with overall property goals * Evaluate strategy effectiveness and adjust as needed to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction Sales & Marketing * Partner with Sales & Marketing to create revenue-generating strategies * Identify and pursue new business leads * Ensure brand-aligned sales and marketing execution * Strengthen guest preference through quality touchpoints and ease of booking Talent Management & Leadership * Build and lead a high-performing Executive Committee * Coach leadership teams and create individualized development plans * Maintain effective staffing practices and succession planning * Ensure efficient systems, workflow, and interdepartmental collaboration Business Information & Financial Analysis * Review and analyze data including market share, financial performance, inventory, engagement, and guest satisfaction * Ensure the hotel operates within budget and achieves profit goals * Use data insights to identify opportunities for service and revenue improvement Employee Relations * Foster a culture of respect, communication, and engagement * Maintain an open-door policy * Partner with HR on employee development and recognition * Ensure compensation is competitive within the labor market Revenue Management * Develop pricing strategies and demand forecasting with Revenue Management * Increase occupancy, RevPAR, and market share through competitive research * Control labor, operational, and capital expenses Owner Relations * Maintain strong, proactive relationships with property owners * Report on financial, guest, and operational performance * Present strategies that balance owner and brand priorities Guest & Public Relations * Maintain a visible presence with guests, resolving concerns promptly * Use guest feedback to improve service delivery * Build community relationships and partnerships * Ensure major groups and VIPs receive exemplary service Compliance & Standards * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and brand standards * Conduct regular quality assurance audits and property walk-throughs * Ensure all departments uphold safety, cleanliness, and service expectations Food & Beverage Responsibilities * Oversee all Food & Beverage (F&B) operations to ensure high-quality service and profitability * Maintain compliance with health, safety, alcohol service, and sanitation regulations * Ensure menus, service standards, and dining experiences align with brand expectations * Develop and implement F&B strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction * Partner with culinary leaders on menu engineering, cost control, and quality assurance * Monitor food and labor costs, inventory, vendor relations, and purchasing efficiency * Train F&B leadership on service standards, guest relations, and operational excellence * Ensure banquet, catering, and restaurant operations run efficiently and deliver exceptional experiences * Address guest concerns related to F&B promptly and effectively Schedule Requirements Hospitality is a 24/7 industry.
