Job DescriptionDescription: Position Overview The Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of Offen Petroleum's fleet. This position is responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, performing repairs, installing component upgrades, and applying winterization and corrosion-control measures. The ideal candidate diagnoses issues quickly, maintains a safe and clean shop environment, and ensures equipment remains compliant with all FMCSA, OEM, and company safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled service work to maximize vehicle uptime., • Complete component installs, part upgrades, and system adjustments as required., • Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using industry-standard tools and diagnostic software., • Follow operating instructions and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment., • Keep all equipment compliant with company, OEM, and FMCSA standards., • High School diploma or equivalent, • Verifiable five (5) years or more work experience as a mechanic or similar capacity preferred, • Level 2 or 3 equivalent preferred, • Must have Cummins & Detroit mechanic experience., • Knowledge of diagnostics and software used in trucking industry., • Valid driver’s license., • Class (A/B) CDL licenses are always helpful, • A clean driving record., • Work 5-6 days per week., • Run roadside service on alternate dates.
