Job Title: Childcare Attendant Location: Brooklyn, NY Employment Type: On-Call About Us: We are a brand new licensed group family daycare provider, operating in a warm and welcoming home-based setting. Our mission is to provide quality care that supports the development and well-being of every child, fostering a family-like environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Caregiver Assistant to join our close-knit team. Responsibilities: Provide attentive care and supervision to children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Assist with daily routines, including feeding, napping, garbage disposal, and diaper changes. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks. Maintain a clean and organized daycare space, including regular cleaning and sanitizing, sweeping and mopping. Support children with educational activities, tutoring, and age-appropriate learning experiences. Engage children in fun and educational games, crafts, and outdoor activities. Assist in planning and implementing educational and recreational programs. Follow all daycare policies and procedures to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Qualifications: At least 2 years of proven childcare experience is required. Must pass a background check. Completion of a tuberculosis test is required. Must complete 15 hours of online training courses as mandated by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) within 6 months of hiring. 30 hours must be completed every two years. After-School Program Instructors will lead academic support, enrichment activities, and recreation for small groups of students. The ideal candidate loves working with children, is organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with students in a safe and supportive manner Lead homework help and tutoring sessions Facilitate enrichment activities such as arts & crafts, STEM, literacy, games, and team-building Maintain classroom behavior and routines Communicate regularly with the program director and parents as needed Set up and clean up activities and materials Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in education or child development preferred) Experience working with school-aged children (K–8) Strong communication and classroom management skills Must be dependable, punctual, and professional CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Background check required
