Job DescriptionDescription: Full-Time Nursing Faculty/Instructor - Clinical Only Benefits • Tuition Assistance, • Medical, Dental, Vision Over 16,000 Students 10 Campuses Competency Based Education Online Full-Time Nursing Faculty/Instructor - Clinical Only South College Knoxville learning site located in Knoxville, TN, is conducting a search for the position of Clinical Nursing Faculty (instructor/assistant professor/associate professor; commensurate with experience) for the South College School of Nursing. The position will have primary teaching responsibilities in the clinical setting; however, may cross prelicensure nursing programs depending on educational level. Full-time clinical faculty members are responsible for 36 clinical hours (primarily 12-hour shifts) at one of our clinical partner locations in Knoxville, TN and the surrounding area. The days of the week may vary from quarter to quarter. The remaining four hours will be used for clinical prep, grading, and mid/final evaluations. During periods in the quarter, there are no clinicals, the clinical faculty may assist in labs with checkoffs, setup, and instruction. Responsibilities: • Maintain professional standards of practice in teaching in the clinical settings., • Meet South College standards for clinical experiential learning., • Function as a part of South College and South College School of Nursing faculty., • Participate in meetings, projects, recruiting, and committee work., • Prepare and implement teaching and evaluation strategies for students' engagement in the nursing profession., • Support student success through mentoring, tutoring, and advising., • Maintain currency in education and nursing knowledge and application through continuing education activities., • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing preferred, • Two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse, • Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee or one of the eNLC compact states.

Social studies teachers at Prep provide students with the critical thinking and writing skills needed to access AP and high school level social studies curriculum.
