Job Description POSITION TITLE: Facilities Technician II (Plumber) REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager SUPERVISES: N/A EXEMPT OR NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: This position is a team member on the engineering team. As such responsibilities include more than plumbing. The facilities tech II associate is expected to assist with drywall, cleaning, organizing supplies, carpentry, assist water quality team with pipe repairs and pipe fits, help plug window and floor leaks, and other general maintenance (PM) work as needed. • Ability to perform preventative maintenance as needed., • Ability to use hand and power tools safely., • Coordinate projects and repairs with other departments to provide a safe working environment for all staff, guests, and animals., • Fabricate various materials to safely achieve assigned work orders, • Operate heavy equipment in a safe manner to perform daily assigned work orders., • Properly and safely provide preventative maintenance on all facilities related equipment, • Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs., • Provide excellent customer service to all staff, guests, and volunteers, while performing daily assigned duties., • Valid FL driver license, • Ability to drive company vehicles, • Plumbing journeyman license preferred., • A minimum of five years’ working experience in a similar role., • Basic electrical, mechanical, masonry, HVAC, and carpentry skills., • Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment., • Extremely organized with good communication skills., • Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving., • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, • Must have reliable transportation., • Lift up to 50lbs to waist level - Frequently., • Lift up to 20lbs to shoulders and above head – Frequently., • Walk/stand for long periods of time - Frequently., • Maneuver safely on uneven terrain or in tight spaces - Frequently., • Safely climb ladders when needed – Frequently., • Squat, bend, kneel, twist and reach - Frequently., • Reach above the shoulders - Frequently., • Push and pull larger equipment – Frequently., • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to changing weather – Frequently.
