Job DescriptionPress Brake Machine Set‑Up Operator 1st Shift | Metal Fabrication About the Role We’re looking for a skilled Press Brake Machine Set‑Up Operator to join our team! In this hands-on role, you’ll set up and operate press brake machines to form high‑quality metal parts with precision and accuracy. If you enjoy working with blueprints, tooling, and machinery—and take pride in producing great work—this could be a great fit for you. What You’ll Do • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines, • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders, • Select and install proper tooling, dies, and materials, • Align tooling and back gauges to meet job specifications, • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools, • Make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and part consistency, • Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting, • Accurately document production data and report any issues, • Follow all safety guidelines and keep your work area clean, • Experience setting up and operating press brake machines, • Strong blueprint reading ability, • Hands-on knowledge of tooling and die selection, • Comfortable using precision measuring tools, • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, • Experience with both manual and CNC press brakes, • Experience in metal fabrication or machining, • Strong problem-solving skills Benefits include: • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, • 401(k) with up to 6% company match (after 60 days), • Generous paid time off, • 10 vacation days to start, increasing yearly up to 25 days, • 3 PTO days + 2 floating days annually (pro‑rated first year), • 8 paid holidays, • Supportive team environment that values quality and craftsmanshipWork Schedule & Environment, • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., • (Some days may start at 6:00 a.m.), • Occasional Saturday work (up to 8 hours) as needed, • Hands‑on fabrication environment in a well‑lit historic facility (built in 1906) Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
