Job Description SUMMARY At Crescent Event Productions, unforgettable experiences are powered by precision behind the scenes. We are seeking a detail-driven Accounting Data Entry Clerk who will play a vital role in keeping our financial and people operations running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and being the dependable backbone of the company. You will support daily bookkeeping, collaborate with leadership, our CPA, and our PEO, and help ensure the business remains organized, compliant, and ready to grow. Secondarily, this role supports Human Resources operations in partnership with our PEO, including onboarding new hires, payroll processing, benefits administration, commission tracking, and annual review support. This is a trusted role with visibility and impact across the organization. NOTE: This position is subject to an extensive background check. REQUIREMENTS • Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail, • High level of consistency, accuracy, and follow-through, • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, • Understanding of basic accounting principles, • Working knowledge of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online, • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, • Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills, • Associate’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, • Post debits and credits to appropriate accounts, • Reconcile bank and credit card statements and resolve discrepancies, • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments, • Generate and send client invoices and process incoming payments, • Support sales tax setup, reporting, and compliance across multiple states, • Calculate and track sales commissions, • Process and fund payroll accurately and on time, • Maintain organized financial, tax, and audit documentation, • Work closely with the CPA on year-end close and tax preparation, • Support onboarding and offboarding through the PEO, • Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment, • Maintain employee records, policies, and acknowledgements, • Support recruiting activities and interview coordination, • Track company assets, issue credit cards, keys, and access credentials, • Process termination paperwork and final pay, • Prepare and distribute 1099s, • Support year-end payroll activities in coordination with the PEO, • Provide general office and operational support as needed, • Perform additional duties as assigned SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Successful candidates demonstrate strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to manage competing priorities. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, a commitment to quality and ethics, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and proportions, and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving multiple variables. COMPUTER SKILLS Proficiency with Internet-based systems, accounting and payroll software, spreadsheets, and word processing tools.
