Job DescriptionDescription: The Strategic Compensation Specialist will provide dedicated leadership and coordination for all strategic compensation programs, including the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program, ensuring compliance, calibration, and data accuracy across all participating campuses. The Strategic Compensation Specialist will utilize expertise in strategic compensation systems to ensure the district maintains alignment with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements, timelines, and best practices in educator compensation. With strong analytical and relationship-building skills, the Strategic Compensation Specialist will facilitate data validation, provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, and develop resources to support program fidelity. As a liaison between TEA and ResponsiveEd campuses, the Strategic Compensation Specialist will communicate updates, policy changes, and technical guidance with Campus Leaders to ensure program success. The Strategic Compensation Specialist will also exercise exceptional problem-solving abilities to address complex compliance issues, strengthen alignment between teacher observation scores and student growth measures, and support Enhanced TIA readiness and broader strategic compensation initiatives across all ResponsiveEd schools. Requirements: Education & Certification • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Education, or a related field from an accredited college or university (required), • (Preferred) Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Human Resources Management, Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, • (Preferred) SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification, • (Preferred) CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) through WorldatWork Experience • 3+ years of experience in strategic compensation program management, implementation, and coordination (TIA experience a plus), • 3+ years of experience providing strategic leadership and technical assistance to multiple campuses or districts, • Proven success leading compensation programs through full lifecycle — design, application, approval, implementation, and sustainability, • Experience with performance-based pay models, educator incentive structures, career ladders, or stipend programs, • (Preferred) 3+ years of experience in campus or district instructional leadership, • (Preferred) Experience supporting districts through TIA application, approval, and sustainability processes Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • A passion for educator recruitment, retention, and performance excellence, • Experience with T-TESS or other state-approved educator evaluation frameworks, including appraiser calibration and scoring fidelity, • Advanced knowledge of strategic compensation compliance requirements, data validation procedures, and reporting processes, including familiarity with TEA programs such as TIA, • Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills, • Ability to design and deliver professional development for district and campus leaders on strategic compensation systems, educator performance frameworks, student growth measures, and program sustainability, • Ability to interpret and analyze student achievement data to identify trends, gaps, and instructional implications, • Deep understanding of strategic compensation design principles, including performance-based pay, incentive structures, career pathways, and equitable compensation modeling, • Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders including teachers, campus administrators, district leadership, and state agency staff, • Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and complex data including compensation program reports, student growth metrics, performance designations, and state agency validation results, • Ability to lead transitions and manage change during program implementation, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Ability to lead and manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively, • Ability to travel to multiple campus and district locations as necessary Responsibilities and Duties: • Provide strategic leadership and technical assistance to districts developing, implementing, and sustaining strategic compensation systems across all ResponsiveEd campuses, including TIA and other performance-based compensation programs., • Design, implement, and evaluate strategic compensation systems aligned with educator performance, student growth, and district priorities., • Guide districts through compensation program application and approval processes, including TIA, ensuring alignment with TEA requirements and timelines., • Oversee day-to-day TIA operations, including assisting with all four district-level data submissions and TEA validations., • Facilitate data validation, system alignment reviews, and calibration activities to ensure accurate and equitable teacher designations., • Facilitate educator evaluation calibration training for appraisers to ensure scoring fidelity and prevent grade inflation, utilizing T-TESS or other applicable frameworks., • Lead professional development and training sessions for district and campus leaders on strategic compensation systems, teacher observation calibration, student growth measures, and program sustainability., • Ensure scoring consistency across all campuses and districts through ongoing monitoring and intervention., • Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain program integrity and accuracy across all strategic compensation initiatives., • Provide progress monitoring and technical assistance for each campus to ensure on-time completion of all compensation program requirements., • Develop and disseminate resources, tools, and guidance documents to assist districts in implementing strategic compensation programs with fidelity., • Serve as a liaison between TEA and ResponsiveEd, communicating updates, policy changes, and technical guidance related to TIA and strategic compensation., • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate solutions with appropriate stakeholders., • Work with Campus Leaders to strengthen alignment between teacher observation scores and student growth measures., • Support Enhanced TIA readiness activities across all participating districts., • Contribute to educator recruitment and retention strategies by advising on career pathways, incentive structures, and sustainable funding models., • Facilitate communication and best practice sharing among campuses and districts to optimize strategic compensation program outcomes., • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit and reporting purposes in accordance with ResponsiveEd's policies and procedures., • Respond to district requests in a timely manner., • Collaborate with campus and district leaders, teachers, and TEA representatives concerning strategic compensation program implementation.
