To support its growth, GenoTher – Medical Genetics Biocluster is recruiting a Scientific Project Manager, who will serve as an Associate to the Scientific Director of GenoTher. This position is intended for an experienced scientist who aims to contribute to the structuring and valorization of translational research in genetic medicine. The successful candidate will act as a strategic scientific interface between academic research, technological platforms, and innovation dynamics within the biocluster, working in close support of the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). Scientific coordination and community building • Contribute to the coordination of the biocluster’s scientific activities., • Organize and structure thematic working groups., • Plan and coordinate meetings, workshops, and scientific events., • Draft meeting minutes, reports, and synthesis documents., • Ensure effective information flow across stakeholders (academic, technological, industrial)., • Monitor the implementation and follow-up of agreed actions., • Contribute to the animation of scientific networks and collaborations. 1. Coordination of translational scientific projects • Monitor collaborative projects with strong translational potential (proof of concept, maturation, preclinical stages)., • Support academic teams in transitioning from fundamental research to translational applications (gene therapy, genome editing, emerging modalities)., • Contribute to alignment between projects, technological platforms, and strategic priorities., • Identify scientific, technological, and translational bottlenecks. 1. Scientific expertise and strategic analysis • Provide high-level expertise in genetic medicine, including:, • genome editing technologies (CRISPR, base/prime editing, next-generation tools),, • delivery technologies, especially LNPs and non-viral approaches,, • integration of AI/data-driven methods in biomedical R&D., • Conduct state-of-the-art analyses, benchmarks, and scientific positioning notes., • Contribute to the preparation of strategic briefs, analyses, and decision-making materials., • Support the definition of R&D strategic priorities. 1. Interface between research, valorization, and innovation • Support evaluation of project valorization potential (maturation, partnerships, technology transfer)., • Interact with innovation stakeholders (TTOs, industry, investors, …)., • Contribute to the preparation of scientific dossiers for funding, partnerships, or incubation., • Promote a collaborative and translational culture within the ecosystem. 1. Support to the Scientific Direction • Prepare decision-support notes, strategic presentations, and governance materials., • Contribute to the organization and facilitation of scientific committees., • Provide recommendations on emerging scientific and technological trends. Profile Education and experience • PhD in biology, biotechnology, genetic medicine, or related field., • 10+ years of experience with exposure to translational research and/or innovation., • Proven experience at the research–innovation interface. Scientific skills • Expertise in genetic medicine and advanced therapies., • Strong knowledge of genome editing technologies., • Familiarity with LNPs and non-viral delivery systems., • Understanding of AI/computational approaches in biomedical research., • Ability to assess complex, multidisciplinary projects. Transversal skills • Excellent analytical, writing, and synthesis abilities., • Strong autonomy, critical thinking, and strategic mindset., • Organizational and coordination skills., • Ability to work in multi-stakeholder environments., • Strong networking and scientific communication skills., • Fluency in French is required (spoken and written); professional English is mandatory.
