A high-growth climate analytics company is looking for a Platform Engineer to help scale the infrastructure behind a global climate risk platform used by enterprise clients. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale geospatial datasets, high-performance compute workloads, and cloud-native infrastructure in a mission-driven environment. You’ll collaborate closely with platform, data, and geospatial engineering teams to build reliable, scalable systems that power advanced climate modelling and analytics. What You'll Be Doing • Design and build scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, • Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, • Optimise systems handling large geospatial datasets and compute workloads, • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting, • Improve platform security and reliability, • Partner with engineering teams to support delivery and scaling, • Drive cloud cost optimisation initiatives Tech Environment • AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC), • Terraform / CloudFormation, • Kubernetes & Docker, • CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins), • Python / Bash scripting, • Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) Requirements • 3+ years experience in Platform / DevOps / Cloud Engineering, • Strong hands-on AWS experience, • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar), • Containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS), • CI/CD pipeline development experience, • Monitoring and observability tooling, • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.), • Experience working in agile engineering teams Nice to Have • GCP experience, • Geospatial or data platform experience, • Airflow / Prefect / data orchestration, • Large-scale data processing environments, • ML / AI infrastructure exposure, • Startup or scale-up experience, • Sustainability or climate tech interest
