As Account Director for the Defence sector, you’ll take ownership of high-value relationships within the UK MOD and associated agencies, driving growth through consultative solution selling and strategic account leadership. This is a field-based role with significant autonomy and national travel. Key Responsibilities • Lead and deliver the sales strategy for MOD and defence clients, identifying and closing major business opportunities., • Build senior-level relationships across MOD, military, and partner ecosystems., • Develop go-to-market plans aligned with new product and solution launches., • Navigate complex procurement frameworks and contracting environments to shape winning bids., • Drive collaboration across internal technical, marketing and delivery teams to ensure long-term client success., • Maintain market intelligence on defence priorities, capability programmes and budget shifts., • Mentor and coach wider account and sales teams to enhance capability and consistency across the business. About You We’re looking for a confident, relationship-driven leader with deep knowledge of the UK defence sector and commercial awareness to match. You’ll bring: • Proven experience managing MOD, defence, or government accounts., • Strategic thinking and strong financial acumen, with a record of sales growth and P&L delivery., • Understanding of government procurement models and buying cycles., • The credibility to influence senior military leaders (OF5–4* level) and shape long-term partnerships., • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to deliver results in complex environments., • Eligibility for Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
