Job Title: Account Manager – Retail Clients Location: Huddersfield Salary: £50,000 per annum + Benefits About the Role: We’re recruiting for an experienced Account Manager to oversee a long-standing, high-value relationship with a major national retailer. Working for a well-established UK manufacturing business, you’ll act as the key liaison between internal teams and the client, ensuring excellent service delivery, commercial planning, and seasonal product coordination. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing large retail or trade accounts, who thrives on clear communication, structured planning, and driving value for both customer and business. You’ll work closely with internal departments to coordinate product availability, forecast stock levels, and manage the full customer journey, from order through to delivery. It’s a hands-on, proactive role with real scope to make an impact. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and develop a long-term retail account, acting as the main point of contact, • Coordinate internal departments (planning, production, customer service) to meet client expectations, • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the retail business, • Monitor sales trends, product lines, and stock forecasts to inform planning, • Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and clear communication across all activity, • Proactively identify areas to improve service, efficiency, and commercial outcomes, • Respond swiftly to queries and challenges, maintaining a positive client experience Candidate Profile: • Proven experience in account management or client service, ideally within retail, trade, or manufacturing, • Strong commercial acumen and a natural relationship builder, • Organised, proactive, and confident managing complex customer requirements, • Experience in seasonal, stock-led or high-volume environments preferred, • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, • Familiar with planning systems, stock data or CRM tools, • A team player who can work cross-functionally to deliver results What Our Client Offers: • Competitive salary of £50,000 per annum, • Monday to Friday, full-time role, • Supportive senior leadership and clear structure, • Opportunity to manage a key client with full ownership and autonomy, • Stable, down-to-earth working culture with long-term career potential About Us: We’re a UK recruitment agency specialising in commercial, operations, and supply chain roles.
