The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will: • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils., • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment where children feel supported to learn and grow., • Lead a small class of pupils with Autism and additional SEND needs., • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure pupils receive the best possible support., • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to maximise outcomes., • Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, social skills, and independence., • Implement positive behaviour support strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning., • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to promote consistent support and progress.About You We are looking for someone who: • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification., • Has experience working with children with SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder., • Understands the importance of a nurturing, child-centred approach., • Is adaptable, resilient, and able to respond positively to challenges., • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills., • Is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential., • Can create engaging learning experiences tailored to individual needs., • Is committed to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for all pupils. Safeguarding Statement Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is central to everything we do. All applicants will be subject to our safer recruitment procedures, including enhanced DBS and reference checks. A current Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the DBS Update Service is desirable. If you do not have an active subscription, a new DBS application may be required as part of the registration process. If employed through Sense Education, you will be paid on a weekly basis. All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is initially offered on a long-term temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
