    We are an established flooring contractor specialising in the supply and installation of carpets, vinyl and wood flooring to the new-build residential market. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Flooring Estimator to join our team. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for new-build residential flooring projects, working closely with our clients, suppliers and internal contracts team. Key responsibilities will include: • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation, • Carrying out accurate flooring take-offs and measurements using digital take-off software, • Preparing detailed costings for carpet, vinyl and wood flooring packages, • Calculating materials, labour, wastage and associated costs, • Obtaining and reviewing supplier quotations, • Preparing and submitting competitive tenders, • Managing tender enquiries from initial receipt through to submission, • Liaising with housebuilders, developers and commercial teams, • Identifying value-engineering opportunities where appropriate, • Supporting the handover of successful tenders to our contracts/operations team The Candidate We are looking for someone with previous estimating experience within the flooring industry, ideally with experience of working on new-build residential developments. You should have: • Proven experience using digital take-off/estimating software, • Strong knowledge of carpet, vinyl and wood flooring, • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, • Good commercial awareness, • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, • Confidence working independently and managing multiple tenders, • Good communication and organisational skills, • Experience dealing with housebuilders, developers or main contractors would be a strong advantage What We Offer This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and established flooring business with a strong presence in the new-build residential sector. We are offering an exciting Unity 3D Game Developer Volunteer Work Experience Programme for aspiring developers who want to develop their technical skills, gain practical experience and build a stronger portfolio. This opportunity is particularly suited to students, graduates, self-taught developers and people at the beginning of their careers who may have learned Unity or C# but need practical experience to take the next step. The Opportunity You will receive guidance and training while gaining practical experience with Unity 3D and C#.
