Overview Are you ready to make a real difference in the world of financial crime compliance? At Gallagher, we're looking for a Sanctions Analyst to join our Financial Crime Team in London on a 6-month fixed-term contract to help with the workload. This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work from our London office 2–3 days a week, giving you the flexibility to balance office collaboration with remote working. As part of a global Centre of Excellence for Financial Crime and International Trade, you'll work alongside a team of innovative thinkers and service-minded professionals, all committed to shaping a future defined by excellence. How you'll make an impact In this role, you'll work closely with the Sanctions Manager and colleagues to provide expert advice and guidance on financial crime, with a focus on trade sanctions (Marine and Aviation). You'll help the business identify, assess, and manage risks while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Your day-to-day will involve researching and advising on sanctions-related issues, responding to complex queries, and helping to maintain a robust sanctions framework. You'll also play a key role in delivering financial crime projects and supporting business-led initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, you'll: • Act as a point of escalation for sanctions and AML issues., • Provide clear and practical advice to internal stakeholders., • A degree or equivalent experience., • A basic understanding of UK, EU, and US financial and trade sanctions, ideally with experience in Marine and Aviation sectors., • The ability to explain complex issues clearly, whether in writing, over the phone, or in presentations., • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure., • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on achieving business outcomes., • The ability to adapt to new challenges and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines., • This is a 6-month fixed-term contract to help with the workload, offering a competitive salary., • You'll gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced, global environment., • This is a hybrid role, with 2–3 days a week in our London office.
