Location: Midsummer House, Midsummer Common, Cambridge CB4 1HA Salary: Up to £34,000 plus tips (DOE) (up to £9,000 potential tip earnings) Hours: Wednesday – Saturday (Every week) Holiday: 5 weeks holiday (inclusive of 2 weeks over Christmas, 1 week in spring and 2 weeks in summer) Days: This is a permanent job, four days a week, including lunch and dinner service every day we are open. We are looking for an Assistant Sommelier to join the team, experience essential. SUMMARY OF POSITION The sommelier must be passionate about food, beverage and hospitality, whose attention to detail is second to none. You will be responsible for supporting the ground floor dining team and head sommelier in the running of the beverages department, providing highly efficient and effective service, educating and recommending guest on wines with trained skills and expertise as well as training members and management on wines. The ideal candidate should have a stable employment history and preferably but not necessarily hold wine/hospitality qualification.
