Humanities Teacher Location: Tunbridge Wells Salary: £31,000 - £49,000 Contract: Full Time, Permanent Start Date: September 2026 About the School At academics, we are looking for a humanities teacher for a well established and high performing secondary school in Kent. The Humanities department is popular and successful across all key stages, with strong uptake at GCSE and A-level. Staff work collaboratively and are encouraged to deliver engaging, innovative lessons, supported by enrichment opportunities such as trips and extracurricular activities. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 in Geography, History, and Religious Education Teach at least one Humanities subject to GCSE level (A-level desirable) Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives Support enrichment activities, including trips and wider learning opportunities Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring positive outcomesKey Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level Strong subject knowledge in at least one specialism (Geography, History, or RE) A proven ability (or clear potential) to achieve strong student outcomes Excellent organisational and communication skills A collaborative approach and commitment to team workingApplications are welcome from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
