Project Engineer Automation, machinery, packaging, filling, sealing, bottling, capping Hereford / + semi-regular travel to customer sites ~£40 £50,000 pa, Negotiable on experience + discretionary bonus, based on profits (never not paid usually ~5% salary) 5 weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays (33 days total) 40 hours per week, early finish Friday Requirements: - Confident and capable Project Engineer, experienced in managing multiple machinery, automation or production line installation projects simultaneously (~10 at a time, ~£1million in value and above); requirement gathering and taking measurements on site, liaising between customers and internal departments (sales, design, etc.), and managing test and installation process. - Ability to work autonomously and independently, communicating effectively between all stakeholders (customers, suppliers, internal teams), while forming an integral part of the wider Projects team. - Prior industry / machinery knowledge, such as packaging, weighing, filling, capping, labelling, sealing, machinery within the food or beverage industry, or transferrable experience from handling, robotics, or plastic moulding (for example). - Enjoys working as part of a team in a friendly and conscientious Projects department (hybrid / flexible working available) - Enthusiasm to learn and develop within the role as well as offer guidance & support to junior colleagues. Useful tools to succeed would include excellent communication skills, a mechanical engineering background, an experienced commercial head, and (ideally) a project management qualification, such as Prince 2. The successful candidate will take the lead role on customer and supplier pricing, ensuring any changes are implemented, understood and clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders. You will be the Finance representative for bid and contract reviews. Providing challenge for pricing discussions, ensuring a balance is met between value for money and profitability. Aiming to maintain tight control over the balance sheet and financial processes, ensuring monthly reconciliations are completed and instilling financial discipline within the organisation to safeguard the company’s assets. You will also be required to assist in the annual audit process, ensuring a smooth and efficient process in accordance with the audit timetable. Due to the continuing popularity of the Sidings First Class café carriage we are looking to recruit an energertic chef that loves to cook with the best ingredients. We offer an a la carte brunch style menu opening between 9am - 4pm, 7 days per week. There is flexibility with rotas for 2 days off per week and with occasional evening work for our special events. The right candidate will be confident in cooking to order and be excited to use fresh produce from our very own kitchen garden. In this role, you will be: Setting up the kitchen prior to opening. Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations. Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available.
