As a full-time soldier, entry-level Joiner in the British Army, youll: • Plan carpentry and joinery tasks from sketches and apply them in field, • Learn to use and maintain workshop machinery, • Prepare timber for use, manufacture joints, use adhesives, produce windows, door frames and fitments, • Carry out general construction work including first-fix timber frames and second-fix joinery fitments, • Construct scaffolding, interpret scaffold terms and erect access scaffold and install ladders, • Install partitions, floors, roofing, timber-framed buildings, formwork and shoring From the start of your training, youll earn £26,334 a year which will go up as you progress in your career. From your first day of training, youll be gaining transferrable skills skills that could set you up for life.
