Production Planner (Manufacturing Environment) Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Hours: Day Shift Salary: From £33,000 (DOE) performance-related bonus / OTE Exciting Opportunity Production Planner An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Planner to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. We are recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for a key individual who will play a vital role in driving production performance, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring optimal utilisation of machinery and resources. The Role As Production Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the production schedule to ensure orders are completed on time, within cost expectations, and to a high standard of quality. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth production flow and support effective decision-making across the operation. This role would suit someone with experience in manufacturing, engineering, CNC, subcontract production, or similar fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate production schedules to maximise efficiency and output Use nesting software to optimise material usage and improve productivity Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth workflow Support purchasing and material planning activities Monitor production performance and delivery schedules Identify opportunities for continuous improvement Support cost control and efficient use of materials Work collaboratively across production and commercial teams Help maintain a positive, efficient, and high-performing production environment About You We are looking for a proactive, organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in production planning, manufacturing, or engineering environments Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Highly Desirable Experience with nesting software (BySoft or similar advantageous) Background in CNC, laser cutting, or subcontract manufacturing environments Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. Sage or similar) Forklift Truck licence Understanding of production KPIs and efficiency metrics Whats on Offer?
