Founder’s Associate Intern London, UK · Full-time · On-site (Victoria) · 6-month internship THE COMPANY LightWork AI is building the operating system for modern property management. Our platform, Felicity, is an intelligent AI assistant that automates the operational workload that slows down property managers, letting agents and build-to-rent teams. Felicity manages communications, compliance workflows, maintenance coordination and scheduling — enabling property businesses to operate with the efficiency of modern digital platforms. The UK property management services industry is a £33B market undergoing a structural shift toward automation. Property teams currently spend up to 75% of their time on repetitive operational admin, and our AI is designed to automate up to 80–90% of these workflows. We are already live with pilot customers, with overwhelmingly positive feedback and strong demand as we scale toward revenue in 2026. LightWork AI is backed by experienced founders, industry advisors, and investors, and we are building toward a clear goal: to create the defining AI platform for property operations and build a unicorn company in the process. We're a small team moving at an uncommon pace. If you want a comfortable 9-5, this isn't it. If you want to be close to the action at a company that's going to matter, read on. THE ROLE This is a 6-month paid internship designed for exceptional recent graduates who want to learn what it takes to build a category-defining company — not from a textbook, but from the inside. You’ll work directly with the co-founders and leadership team on real problems across the business: fundraising, commercial strategy, operations, and hiring. This isn’t a programme with rotations and training days. You’ll be given responsibility from day one and expected to deliver. Outstanding performance during the internship may lead to a permanent Founder’s Associate role. We’re not looking for someone who wants to “try out” a startup — we’re looking for someone who wants to earn their way into one. WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON Strategic Support • Help the co-founders prepare for board meetings, investor calls, and key decisions — building the models, writing the memos, and sharpening the arguments, • Own internal and external communications that require the founders’ voice, • Support investor relations end-to-end: materials prep, data room management, scheduling, and follow-ups, • Ensure no investor relationship goes cold because of an admin or comms gap, • Coordinate key client relationships and ensure the founders are always well-prepared for commercial conversations, • Support pipeline tracking, contract coordination, and follow-up processes, • Partner with the founders on building the team — sourcing, running processes, coordinating offers, • Own ad hoc strategic and operational projects that don't yet have a home, • Recently completed a degree from a top-tier university — Oxbridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL, or equivalent calibre internationally, • Relevant internship experience in consulting, banking, VC, law, or a high-growth startup, • Exceptionally strong written English — able to produce clear, polished work quickly, • Highly analytical — comfortable with structured reasoning, data analysis, and synthesising information under time pressure, • High agency — you move without being asked and take full ownership of outcomes, • Commercially literate — you understand that revenue and client relationships are the priority, not just interesting problems, • Fluent with AI tools — you already use LLMs and AI-assisted workflows to move faster, • Discretion — you’ll be in the room for conversations that don’t leave the room, • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to context-switch rapidly, • Comfortable with working 5 days per week in our office for the duration of the internship, • Must have existing UK work authorisation — we are unable to sponsor visas for this role The person we're looking for has done one of the following: • Has a track record of excellence — academic, extracurricular, or entrepreneurial — that goes beyond just getting good grades, • Has built something, led something, or achieved something that most people their age haven’t, • Wants to be an operator, not an observer Nice-to-Haves • Exposure to financial modelling, forecasting, or investor materials, • PropTech, fintech, or B2B SaaS familiarity, • Deep familiarity with the AI tooling landscape beyond basic LLM usage WHAT YOU'LL GET • Paid internship with a clear path to a permanent role for exceptional performers, • Private healthcare, • Exposure to every part of the business and the co-founders: strategy, product, commercial, finance, and hiring, • Office in Victoria, London, • A front-row seat — and a real role — in building a category-defining company
