We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Testing Engineer to carry out Fixed Wiring Testing (EICR) across a range of properties, including domestic and commercial buildings, with a focus on social housing and local authority properties. The role involves completing high-quality electrical testing, inspections, and remedial works to ensure compliance with current regulations. You’ll be responsible for producing accurate electronic certification using EasyCert or similar software, along with completing job notes, photos, and reports in a timely manner. All test equipment, materials, and a company vehicle will be provided. A practical assessment may be required prior to placement. Key Responsibilities Conduct EICRs and carry out any necessary remedial works in line with client specifications. Identify, report, and rectify electrical faults safely and efficiently. Follow all current Health & Safety regulations and relevant electrical standards. Complete all electronic paperwork accurately and promptly using approved mobile applications. Communicate effectively with residents, clients, and team members. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional manner at all times. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Participate in ongoing training and development as required. Support business improvements and changes that enhance service delivery. Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by management. Required Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of the electrical industry, particularly testing and inspection procedures. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all external and energy efficiency upgrades — including cladding installations, insulation, window and door replacements, roofing, and associated building fabric improvements — are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of energy performance and compliance.
